Someone discovered the heating pad.. This week has been somewhat cold (granted today it seemed to have warmed up) but anywho Gizmo was shaking over the weekend. So, I got out my state-of-the-art (at least that's what my husband calls it ) heating pad that has an automatic 2-hour shut off and 8 different heat settings (once again ) and laid the nice soft fur like side on Gizmo's bed and set it to the lowest heat setting. Well, needless to say, Gizmo loved it until it went off two hours later. He then, in a very grumpy manner, got up off the bed, stared at the pad and then looked up and stared at me. So, I got down off the couch, turned it back on, and he proceeded to plop again right on the heating pad (in a very dramatic fashion). So now when we go to bed at night, we have him on his cloud nine...And heating pad  Think I'm going to seek out a heated dog bed, so I can get my heating pad back. Any suggestions?? |
Maybe you've discovered something there, a new heated bed for pets...it does sound so cute though. |
No help here, but my aunt's cat figured out how to turn her electric blanket on! |
Not trying to rain on your parade but, some say the EMF radiated out of electric heaters are dangerous. |
If that's the case then I'll have tumors the size of grapefruits by the time I'm 40. |
Well take it for what it's worth. Some peeps claim high tension power lines affect them? Same theory with electric blankets. Seeing as our dogs weigh 1/100 of what we weigh... |

Last year I purchased a heating pad for the dog bed from Petco. I think it was about $30. They both love it. It is pressure activated. |
Tee hee! I can just imagine that! I bet he is so cute!!! Isn't it fun to spoil these little guys?! I am not sure on the heated dog bed part though. I like to put Katie Scarlett's blankie in the dryer before bed and then put it in her bed with her. She seems to like that too. Of course, I'm sure a heated would stay a lot warmer through the night. :) |
