There is an afterlife for our pets I attended a John Edwards event last night. There were around 1000 people and he did readings on about one dozen and I was one!! At the end of my reading he said there was a dog with my son and it was a little "chirpy" dog - lots of high pitched chirps and he thought it might be a yorkie. Stunning. It was my little Gina that passed in Feb of '10. I hope this gives you some peace that we know our little ones are on the other side waiting for us with our human loved ones. Cherie |
Cherie, There are many people who believe, and those who don't. But when one reaches back into his memory, and recalls all those absolutely precious moments of companionship and sharing, there's one thing for sure... Heaven, or at least a part of it, is right here, right now. |
I'm a little confused, do you mean your son was in the audience with you and John saw the Yorkie with him, or you have lost your son also? I love John Edwards and I use to watch his show, but I wondered if he got tips from people. Did anyone interview you at the show? Did you tell anyone you have Yorkies? Anyway, I do believe in heaven and it wouldn't be heaven without our little pets there, now would it? |
Wow! I believe....:D (mostly, still slightly skeptic, lol) |
My son passed in '97. I was alone and spoke with no one. John Edwards was amazing. He zeroed in on me, first "seeing" my food service background and then he connected it with my son's death. He could not have known anything about me. |

What a beautiful post to share!! I love this and I can only imagine the good feelings this sent down your spine!! God is good!! :] Our furbabies are definitely going to be waiting for us in heaven! Why else would God make them our best friends?? |
I'm sorry for your losses. I too believe that our pets are waiting for us. My beagle, Benji, died in 1991 and my Dad died in 1992. After Daddy died I had many dreams about him and in one dream, my Dad called me on the phone and told me that Benji was right there with him. It made me feel better to know that they were together. |
Love this It brought tears to my eyes. So glad they are together if the can not be here with you. So sorry for your loss. |
Another thing John Edwards said was that our loved ones do come to us in dreams and we should accept the dreams as another way for them to reach out to us. |
What a wonderful thread - it's making me shiver and feel tear-y :) I can still smell our Rosies ears, sometimes. I can still hear her nails clip-clopping on the floor - sometimes. She's in my dreams - often. So I pray with all my heart that it all does happen. And I'm so terribly sorry for your losses - God bless you :) Sally + Harry x |
I'm very sorry to learn of your son's passing.... but very happy to hear that the 'chirpy' little pup is with him.... chills here too... and tears. Dr Phil had Edwards on his show the other night, he is, or was very skeptic. But JE was able to tell him things that no one else knew.... changed DP's mind about it all. |

I missed all except the last 5 minutes of this show and so wanted to watch. I've always been skeptical but have been watching the new reality show with the psychic from NJ....she always seems so genuine. I knew Dr Phil would be skeptical too and so wanted to hear his opinion after his reading. To Cherie6446....I am so sorry for your losses. It's wonderful you have some peace of mind now about your loved ones. |
So sorry for your loss. I just lost my husband the last of October and my little yorkie Dee Dee died one month later. I so want to believe they are together. He picked her out. It was the first dog he ever got to choose himself and he loved her so. I have read many of the pems about the Bridge where our pets are waiting for us. If it makes us feel better that is the point and I pray I will be re-united with my husband and family and my pets someday. Regardless of what we believe, I never question anyones beliefs. That is personal. I don't try to force my beliefs on anyone and I respect theirs. |
