Blue Born Mack...Im worried... Hi YT family... Im sure Im overly worried, so please just reassure me... Mack has had diarreah for the past 2 days....He is eating, drinking, playing, acting COMPLETELY normal...but given his past, I am beginning to freak out. (not to mention we have a brand new baby in the house who has only had his first 2 shots) His "poo" is not abnormal looking...just RUNNY... do your babies ever have just a tummy bug? Should I take him to the ER vet? Do I just relax? My hubby thinks Im over analyzing this..but goodness..we have come so far with him..I love him to pieces...I just cant imagine what could be wrong now...He already beat Parvo (after being immunized)..it couldnt be a relasp, could it??? just breath...I need to just breath.... |
If I were you I would get him checked. My little 3 yr old Morkie Rusty died on 9/19/11 and that's how he started on a Saturday and died that Monday morning. I wish I would have taken him to the ER vet. It's better to be safe than sorry. Now I am living with the "what ifs?". |
prayers for little Mack.... |
With the new pup in the house I would keep them separated & take a spray bottle with bleach water out with you & be sure to clean up after Mac as soon as he does his business then spray the area with the bleach water. I would hold food till tomorrow afternoon & see how he is in the A.M. |

Oh my my my!! My first thoughts are, better safe than sorry.... I have just come to terms with the fact that my babies ( skin AND fur) only and always get sick over the weekend or on a holiday....lol....the reality is, I am not a dr. but.......my maternal instincts are impressive.... If you are worried, feel that something is "not right" I truly believe mothers know... So, call the dr/vet....and follow thru.... They are so small, we love them so, and we are in charge, so, worst case scenario, you go to dr.- wait wait wait...... And then write a check....then get a diagnoses....prayerfully, a good one.... I think it's just the responsible thing to do.... And you will sleep better... :-) I hope and pray he is 100% A Ok..... |

Have you changed anything? Diet? I know when Rosie gets runny poo (she has IBS) the first thing the vet tells me to do is pull her food and let her tummy rest. Then we go to bland diet, chicken and rice. If that don't work it is time to go in. And it usually ends up with an antibiotic. Have you tried that? Prayers to you and Hugs to Mack. |
I haven't pulled his food... Geez, he's still so thin since his last illness... My guys are free fed, but u guess I could try and quarantine him... I don't know what I'd ever do if I lost him... It makes me sick to even think about it.... |

My vet said no food also. |
If you pull his food be sure to watch him closely,Karo or Nutrocal on hand just in case. If this were me, I would be taking him to the vet first thing in the morning. Yall were just at the beach so it is possible that he has gotten a lil tummy bug. Antibiotics might be all he needs and some chic n rice. Please let us know how Mack is doing. |
Oh no prayers going out to Mack. |

His big hazel eyes staring up at you..... his impatient waiting for you to come out of the bath to lick your toes... his uneverending love......he brings a smile to my face with every look....he loves to be acknowledged as a "good boy"...cant wait to be surprised with a treat..the very best snuggle buddy...Hes just "Mack"...the little baby boy that wasnt supposed to survive..my angel...My world...and I would be lost without him... |
