Little Rascal Litter Box I will be getting a puppy very soon and I have decided on litter box training. After reasearching I decided I didn't want to use litter so I have decided on the Luittle Rascal Litter BOx. Could you please share your experiences with this product- I would like to hear real experiences from real dog owners. Also a few questions- should I get a box for downstairs and one for upstairs? Should I get the larger size because I am afraid the smaller one may get dirty quick and she may not want to use it. Please share!!! |
I have one and think it's great! I use a pee pad in it, not the grass. It prevents Charlie from shredding/chewing the pee pad. The sides on the box help keep everything in the box too, which is a plus. I only bought 1 and I move it up and downstairs, depending on where Charlie is. He goes outside most of the time, I use the little Rascal for times I am away from home for more than 2 hours. And I keep it by him at night just in case he needs it. It has worked really well for us! I think you will be happy with it. It's my favorite choice over anything else I have tried. Good luck! |
My two hated it and we ended up just getting a potty pad holder for their pads. Apparently mine hated the sides but liked pulling the grass out and shredding it. I swear I found little plastic green pieces in their poop for a week straight! They also figured out how to pull the pads out when we used those. For us it was more headache than it was worth. It will all depend on the puppy if they like it or not. I would try one first and then if the pup likes it get a 2nd. If not you can find a locking potty pad holder on dog.com for a decent price. For us it was the one holder they couldn't rip a pad out of. Here is the link to the one we use. Training Pad Holder - Dog.com |
Thank you for your responses. I think I will order one and see how that works. Hopefully if the grass doesn't work I can just use the pads. |
