Wearing PJ's 1 Attachment(s) How do you get your babies to wear PJ's. I put a pair on Gizmo and the minute I got them on he started taking them off. See attached picture. Any suggestions?? |
Apparently he wasn't cold.:D If he's used to wearing clothes, then it shouldn't be a problem. However, lots of little dogs just want to be comfortable and sleep without clothes and cover up whenever they do get cold. I wouldn't make him wear them if he doesn't want to. Mine doesn't like to wear anything at night, either, but she wears clothes everyday. |
Usually they adjust to it, it just takes time, pj's especially.Try to distract him by playing or something and reward him when he leaves them alone. I remember the first time I put pj's on Scamp. He froze like a statue and refused to move in them, lol. But he got use to them and it isn't a problem now. He was the only one to do that too, all my others made no big deal about wearing pj's. |
That is hilarious!! [QUOTE= I remember the first time I put pj's on Scamp. He froze like a statue and refused to move in them, lol.pj's.[/QUOTE] Holly did the same thing. We laughed at her so much! We called them her straight jacket pj's. I took advantage of it though and pulled her hair up for a bow bc she usually won't stay still long enough! |
Don't give up. Maybe you need to turn down the temperature a little so he will appreciate them more!:) It's just something new to him. Just like everything else once he is used to it he will think nothing of it. Just don't leave them on him when he is alone. |
My 4 will wear them, but my Peek a Boo always gets his hind legs free. No problem though. He just runs around with the hind legs flapping... the PJs still stay on him... like a night gown. Love that pic! |
LOL, love the pic,,it reminded me of the first time I put a sweater on Prissy,,too funny. |
OMG that is so funny. I think the legs stay in if there is a good fit on the pajamas. Mine live in their PJs all winter. Some dogs like sugarmamma's Sugar Baby refuse to take off their jammies. Dogs are individuals, though, and your little man is telling you what he thinks of jammies! |

That picture is too cute! :) Kaos hates wearing PJ's too. He won't take them off but he protests by not moving. He kept it up for over a hour one time. Some times I cut off the legs and make it just a night gown, because he gets his back legs out all the time too. :) |
lol..so cute.. I started with Brandy when she got home from the vet. I gave her a really good bath and slip them on and she keep them on.. you can try to givr Gizmo a bath first and start like that.. Brandy loves her Pjs now even pushes her head in the hole..lol |
I can't find any really cute ones that blow my socks off. Teegy has some and wore them when it was a little chill in my home but when the heating is working he doesn't like to. Now where can I get awesome knock my socks off jammas |

I just got some from TxVicki maybe you can ask her where she got the jammies..When I say them I was like wow stylish..with animal prints..lol and candy one. |
That picture is too funny! Levi will basically wear anything I put on him...he's never really protested. He doesn't wear a topknot, but when I put in a topknot or a bow, he leaves them in. I think part of it is that he is very used to me brushing/grooming/dressing him, and part is temperament (he doesn't care if he's wearing clothes as long as he can play). :) |
