Taryan, well I did appreciate your explanation, it helped me understand, it is how people did not even give me the chance to prove or explain before the lashed out... I am sorry if adding you to the list was unfair. However, I did not feel a lot of compassion in your explanation... my bad. Sorry... |
Bobbiowens, not everything in life is positive. Not even this forum. I see no need to lock a thread that just needs to get back on topic. TikiDog made this thread for a reason, and she would like to discuss the matter at hand. TikiDog, no problem. I know how you feel. I just lost one of my Yorkies a few weeks ago -- just as suddenly as you lost Tiki. |
Sashajade, Thank you for your input, wow you read my posts very carefully and gleaned a lot of information from them. I am pleased with your response. I hope my sweet Tiki did not die because of something I did or did not do... I have learned so much from this whole thread, it has been invaluable to me. You folks are amazing and in spite of what has happened, I am going to devour this site and I may post on occasion when things are back to normal... Thank you sooooooo much... Hugs... |
just reading through this thread in it's entirety. shocked at how it's all of a sudden turned so terrible. i didn't even get one glimmer of a moment when i thought the story wasn't true...And yes, i've seem some "false threads" on here as well. but thats very unfair to come out and speculate the story isn't true. Just move on. don't take a poor woman down in her hardest days on a hunch. :thumbdown and then to poke fun at her pain. Shameful. I'm sorry that you had to go through this Tikismom. very unfair that they tried to enter your private life like that and take you down further. i hope you can still feel the love coming from most of the posts on here. *hugs* |

Hi Ringo, Yes I will be watching my sweet Sadi like a hawk. I have always been protective of them. And I have done tons of research before and during their lives. Now I have learned so much from this site and the links provided, I feel what I knew before was only the tip of the iceberg. I will be even more equipped to take care of my babies in the future... Thank you again... |
Thank you Cache I have since apologized to them... I appreciate your feedback... man this hurts, I can't take much more of this... However, it means a lot to me to ensure the ones that care know their efforts to assist me were not in vain and are so appreciated... Thanks again... |
I'm sorry some people think your story is fake, they accused me of being a troll when I first got here just because I tried to break up a fight. To my friends at Yorkietalk, I really think this needs to stop, and if you don't think a story is true why must you post on the thread? Why is it necessary to call someone out? I just don't get it. My goodness, especially when they are in extreme grief, what if YOU'RE wrong???? I've got to say, I'm really disappointed. I love you Steve, but I think your wrong about this. I can see you calling someone out if they are trying to cause fights, but that wasn't happening here, I think the OP, just wanted to have a clearer understanding of what may have caused the death so suddenly. |

I have seen and worked on countless large dogs that came in at night with bloat, so I am very aware of the symptoms. Granted, it is rare in small dogs, but odd that my Biewer bloated on me just a few weeks ago. So it can happen in small dogs. Bloat in Dogs: Symptoms, Causes, and Treatment on MedicineNet Small dogs can swallow bits of rawhide, and when the rawhide comes into contact with the gastric juices they will swell up and cause a blockage. Or they will try to swallow larger pieces or things which get caught in their throats. There are quite a few threads concerning choking and blockages in Yorkies right here on YT. In the Vet ER, rawhide was the #1 cause of blockages/choking seen in small dogs, at least of the ones that made it in for treatment. Rawhide, Nylabone,Cow hooves, Pig ears-The hidden dangers And blockages are not always caused by one single large object. A number of small objects can glom together and cause a blockage too. It happened in my dog after feeding her coconut chips. I fed them to her one by one as a tick training reward, they did finally come out looking like a stack of Pringles Potato chips. Carrots have become wedged in teeth and soft tissue in the mouth causing abcesses, small toy parts, craft room supplies like beads and such can become lodged in the alimentary tract and cause problems, even death. intestinal blockage - Google Search choking - Google Search I want to emphasize these points, because this lady does not have direct access to a vet, and she needs to know what can cause a potential problem in dogs. I explained that I was speculating (guessing) as to the cause Tiki's death and that the only way to know for sure was through a necropsy. I would appreciate in the future that you do some research before you post and try to disprove my posts. I have done the reseach and can disprove yours. Hopefully, we will all learn from Tiki. |

Cindy, on behalf of YT, I want to apologize for some of the things that were said here - we\'ve deleted some of the comments. I\'m very sorry for your loss; I can\'t imagine all that you\'re going through. I\'m sending good, healing thoughts. |
Hi Wylie\'s Mom, Thank you so much. Please, please remove my post #92, I listed links to my entire life there, just to prove I was real. There is one lower where someone responds to it, so it is there at least twice... Short of posting a pic of myself today, with his Username, and today\'s date I don\'t think he will believe me no matter what I say or do... and I have a feeling even that would not convince him. However, I tried, and I don\'t care what he thinks. I care what the others think and I have proved who I am. I apologize to everyone for posting the pics of my sweet baby, I regret doing that, and did it in anger and pain, not thinking how it might affect all of you... my sincere apologies. Thanks everyone, Cindy |
kjc, Both my hubby and I have read everyone of your posts and links and cannot even begin to thank you for all of the info you have provided. I will do things so differently next time. Thanks for the details on what to do with the food and water after they are sick... that is invaluable also. Big hugs of gratitude. Cindy |
Nancy... thank you so very much for your support and info. I can\'t thank you enough. Thanks everyone for the PM\'s they mean so much to me. I have tried to respond to each of them. I have found the YT forum and it is of extreme interest to me, and about one of my favourite topics YORKIE\'S, I am not going anywhere. I may go quiet for a bit and just read and heal... but I will be back. Thanks everyone. It is 2:30 in the afternoon and I have not even showered or changed yet. This has been all consuming... Gotta go get my life in order. As painful as this thread was, I would go through the whole thing again in order to get the invaluable support and information from you guys... You are a very special bunch, I am so glad I found you, and I look forward to getting to know each of you better over time. For anyone I offended with my posts of pics I apologize, that was not my intent. Big hugs, Cindy :animal36 |
Hi Wylie\'s Mom, Please remove post #88 as well... another link to my private life. Thank you, Cindy |
