Bright red blood in poop Hello everyone it's me again Dole's mom. "The Picky Eater". At my wits end took her to the vet (again) ran more test and another exam... To the tune of $200. And again nothing is wrong. He recommends Eukaneuba puppy can food and to my amazement she ate it!!!!! I mixed it with her usual food and today bloody poop! Quandary, she is eating but she has bloody poo! Now what!!!!! |
COuld she have gotten into something during the Holidays that she shoudn't have? Blood in poop can be so many things. |
If blood in poop is a new symptom i'd take her back to the vet, maybe even a new vet. Sorry your little one is sick |
My vet told me he sees bloody stools at least three times a day. I guess it's pretty common. Sometimes it requires meds and antibiotics. My dogs had an overgowth of bacteria called Clostridia ,in the stomach that caused it. Call and see if you can take in a stool sample to be tested since you just spent $200. |
Aaaw I hope all is ok. |
I hope everything is OK. Mine had the same thing on Monday morning. However, I didn't think it was blood although it looked like that. Sunday, when I brought him to my gf's families house for Christmas, they had this plate of cranberry sauce mixed with Kool-Aid or something like that. I figured he got into that. I didn't see red in his stool after that. Must have been what he got into. |
My vet called me today to check on her and I told him about the bloody poo and he said wait as he has no bacterial issues he's gonna call me in a couple of days.. Thanks for all of yalls concern :-) |
