I couldnt watch the whole vidio. I went to look for IAM's rebutal and they have an excuse but they still do animal testing including skin and muscle biopsies. I dont want animal cut up like that just to test food. :mad: |

Your all welcome..and Im am an animal activist!! i have been since i was little and please tell everyone you know!!...I cried for hours and hours when i first seen this when it first came out, and everyone should know what kind of company and corporation Proctor & Gamble really is...its horrible! Testing on innocent animals for Cosmetics, house cleaners, personal care products, etc etc...How can there be people willing to do this to animals. Those people are the ones that should be shot and punished, Bonne Bell and the Body shop Dont test on animals and their ingrediants for their products are also not tested on animals, Why can't These companies do that, there is NO NEED to test on animals in this day and age! I mean, come on, its cruel and un-called for...there are other methods of testing they can use.. :mad: I wish i could change the world just a little bit or even A LOT for the safety and well being of our little babies and the creature we SHARE the planet with..3/4 of the world needs to get some compassion and start thinking of altrinatives!!!! Thank you all for listening to me vent my opinions and Passion and love i have for ALL animals! |
That makes me cry. Whats worse is iams isnt the only one thats like that. MOST major dog food companies it seem does some extent of animal testing. I was devastated to learn this. :( |

I feel awful - I had no idea! I have been buying Iams since Biddy was a puppy. I want to throw up right now. I can't believe I have been supporting this. I will be boycotting from now on. |
I feed my dogs wet dog food in the morning (Premium) and then they have dry IAMS out all day in case they get hungry while I'm at work. At the rate they're eating their IAMS (or any other dry food for that matter), the bag I have is going to last ten years. My dogs eat a little wet food in the morning, have IAMs out during the day, and eat people safe food in the evening (often my leftovers - or chicken, other meats, rice, eggs, -- or many other foods, etc.). They get a wide variety of different foods and are happy, healthy, playful dogs. But - as I said - I probably won't be buying any more dry food for quite some time. Then I'll check different foods out again. Carol Jean |
I use Solid Gold Puppy abd one for my Adult. Schnauzers but still......I believe it is good food. I have not seen the list for animal testing. |
I Feed Eukanuba, Which is P&G, in other words IAMS! Thats terrible what they are putting those precious animals through, I feed 2 out of my 3 Eukanuba, which is P&G in other words IAMS... They LOVE their food... Gizmo eats Eukanuba Lamb & Rice, and Gypsy eats Eukanuba Yorkshire Breed Specific... I don't support cruelty to animals, and look forward to changing their diets... Thanks for the info... How about boycotting Butterball products! I watched a movie/documentary a few days ago about Butterball Turkey Farms!! What a disgrace, the treatment of turkeys investigation by PETA... Its horrific what they do to those birds before we consume them... I will never consume their products again!! And I Love low sodium butterball turkey breast from the deli... And also Butterball Turkey on Thanksgiving & Christmas Holidays!! That's an old video and I REALLY hope Iams has stopped this awful horrific practice but am behind on my reading and have no idea - but Good post !! This has been going on way too long in the pet food industry among others:( |
Iams information was very much welcome. I am considering purchasing a yorkie and had look at some Iams food for yorkies(small puppies). Now you have help me to reconsider. This site also is helping me see purchasing a yorkie in a different light. |

I also want to thank you for this information. I did not know that some dog food companies cruelly test animals in order to help them make dog food. How sad. :( |
Not sure if they are still doing this. The other day I smelled a bag of Science Diet Lamb and Rice and it smelled like a Rendering Plant. How on earth do they really test pet food? Feeding raw or homecooked would help stop the testing on animals |
