Is Princess the reincarnated Houdini or just an acrobat? Well the last couple weeks I've come home to find Princess is out of her area (which includes small part of hall, my bdrm & bathroom). I keep her in by unfolding a an expen accordion style across the narrow hall & wedging the gate between the wall & shoe shelf. In order to open it you have to pull it straight out about a foot then turn the gate either way to make a path. At first I thought dd was forgetting to close it before school. Once the gate was completely pushed to the other side-like 3-4 panels. Then I wake up this morning & the thing was opened again! Kinda creepy considering what's occurred in this apt. Is she actually smart/strong enough to pull it out like that? I just can't imagine it. Then this evening we were at my parent's house & my dad keeps a desk chair in the kitchen where he sometimes watches tv or whatever. My mom goes in the dark kitchen & Princess is on the counter! The only thing leading to the counter is the chair which is about 5' from it. What the heck is this dog up to?:p |
Ha, I have been calling Chewy Houndini as well. He breaks out of everything..he chewed through a plastic baby gate,i got a 6 foot metal gate, he slid through the bars, I used previous babygates to help with that, and he got out of that.. if i crate him he cries and cries and cries, he is hoarse today from crying while i was at work.. |
I honestly believe that if they are desperate to get out of somewhere/something, they will :) My Harry Houdini actually escaped from his crate  You would never believe it, unless you'd seen it. It's an all wire one. He must have been gently (!!!) chewing/working away on the bottom of one of the verticals. Having achieved getting through that, he bent it upwards and managed to squeeze/force himself through the tiny space - the wires were bent outwards to the shape of him  It was actually quite ingenious!! :D Sally + Harry (Houdini!!) x |
