Benefits of AKC papers?? As some of you know, we got a new puppy!!! :D Her name is Muffy and she is a doll! Anyways, I didn't send in Bella's papers, but when we got Muffy, I thought about sending hers in. What are the benefits of it? Is it something you guys suggest doing? They have different packages. Do I need the three-generation pedigree?? Advice would be greatly appreciated. :) |
I always send their papers in. No need to buy the more expensive packs unless you want what it offers. My Yorkies all have a baby book with their Akc pedigree etc. I try to put at least 4 new photos each year in their book. The memory albums are so special, when your Yorkie grows old and passes away. |
I think it's important for pet owners to support the AKC, I hope one day pet owners are just as involved with policy as breeders. In addition to regular registration, we signed up for life time lost and found and his microchip number is issued with the AKC. They also have a pretty good program where they will help notify vets and pounds for you should your dog become lost. I also think registering your dog helps pay for the kennel inspections they do, which I'm in favor of. |
