My yorkie is worse than my child was!! I know yorkies require a lot of time and attention but my goodness my Bentley is so needy today ughhh He loves his toys but also loves playing with my son's matchbox cars. He brought me that little car I bet 100 times Lready this morning wanting me to throw it, if I don't throw it right away he will sit there and cry. He also loves to play this little game where he pushes the car under the couch and will cry for me to get it out, I get it out and I watch him push it under again LOL this little guy is driving me nuts today lol what is their point in crying? Why do they do it? I think I may just loose my mind today haha does anyone else have this issue with their yorkie? He's so smart it just amazes me! :animal-pa |
My brother's dog plays the "Let's push the ball back under the couch and watch Aunite go get it" game all of the time. It's really funny to watch unless you're the one that has to go and get the car! :p |
Don't you just love em.....they are like toddlers that never grow up and move out. My cat and Brandi (both seniors...13 and 11 yrs) have days where they drive me crazy. I swear you would of thought their names were "Zoey no" or "Brandi stop":p. On a daily basis...I am constantly saying to both of them, "Stop teasing your sister" or "leave your sister alone". |
LOL, this is so funny since Prissy acts the same way,,,love it. Now I think my baby is normal...also a genius...lol |
Some days are worse than others, but for the most part my 2 little ones are happy if I just kick the toy across the room. Yogi will bring the toy back and actually place it on my foot for me to kick again. Gracie Ruth could be a soccer goalie she's so good at blocking and catching the toy. When push comes to shove and one of them absolutely must have some Momma time, I find it's easier to just stop, sit and cuddle for 5 mins. This usually takes care of their need and I can get back to what I was doing. Fortunately, so far, all 4 haven't had needy moments at the same time. I also rolled up a blanket and put it under the front of the couch so that the toys don't get under it. And if they do seem to somehow find their way under, it's never far enough that they can't reach them themselves. |
Tee hee! I know the feeling! I keep telling my husband that if we can handle Katie Scarlett, we can handle any skin kid! We have no children yet, but she sure is preparing us well if we do have children one day. LOL. But we love her. She does have her days when seems like she is more of a handful than others, but we just take it in stride and giggle. If she is really going haywire, we take turns playing to tire her out. We run back and forth from one end of the house to the other with her and this really tires her out. She is so funny! |
Oh and another thing that is working for us...we are teaching Katie Scarlett that when we stop playing, that is the end of the game. We are the boss and if we stop, she has to stop. She has this one toy that she would chase all day long if we kept throwing it. So after I am finished, I tell her 'last time.' She then will bring it back and I put it away in a different place every time. At first she started to whine, but I said 'no no' or a 'eh eh.' I think she is starting to get the hang of the fact that when I say enough, it's time to stop. It's a work in progress, but she seems to be responding to it. |
Aww, your baby is too cute. Don't worry Romeo does the same with my sister. He will purposely push carrots and broccoli under the furniture so she will find them for him. Romeo only does this with my sister, no one else. If she can't find his food fast enough he will stand by the flash light as if to tell her "hey, if you turn this on and shine it under the furniture you will find my lost food!" Gotta love these four-legged babies. |
They are all pretty much the same and play the same way. Yorkies are just babies and they cry when they want something.:p |
Zada, Azrael and Razael have never played with a ball, and they stopped playing with toys when they were about 5 or 6 months old. I'm trying so hard to teach Jilli Ann to play ball and play with toys. She likes to play tug o war with me, but she prefers to throw around a little plastic pumpkin and chase it. I want a dog that plays ball so bad. |
LOL, I find myself praying for nap time like I did when my kids were toddlers. Smokey certainly is a little perpetual motion machine. |
Our Chi never played till we brought Bella home. Now him, Bella, and my son are constantly playing. I have to put the toys away sometimes or I will go insane!!! lol |
