Absolutely! I bought Rusty, Ziggy and Sophie from her. :( I had no idea they were like this! One of my friends has two of hers and another friend has one. I love all of these dogs and was referring people to her! :eek:

Unfortunately, PA has a lot of puppymills; I'm embarrassed to say. We do have some very good YTCA breeders here also. Our vet warns ppl to do their homework before buying a dog here in PA bc they have seen a lot of sick pups from puppymills. Gov. Rendell was supposed to be cracking down on the puppymills here, but we have a new gov. now, and I do not know where he stands on this subject.

I decided not to get the little boy in Ohio either. I don't want to end up with a sick pet.

I was wondering what was happening with that. The Oprah show really put pressure on Gov Rendel, and he did make some sweeping changes, but most of the people who pressured him weren't voters in the state. I think more people are worried about their livelihood rather than puppy mills at this time.

I don't look at CL. It would only make me feel terrible, as I'm sure it bothered you also. There have been some really weird ads on it. You always feel terrible for the animal caught in the situation.

You have two babies at home that you have to look out for also. I hope you find a breeder. Have you thought about getting one a little older? Sometimes breeders will hold onto one hoping to be showworthy, and then they turn out to be pet quality.

From my understanding, breeding orgs in this State have been trying to bring attention to the puppymill problem for years. Unfortunately, ppl want cheap pups, and they are willing to turn a blind eye to where the pup is coming from.

I know, and they are great. I would definitely adopt an older pet.
I already know what it's like to have 3. I am a stay at home mom and have the time and means to take care of them.

I'm not going to look at CL anymore. It's too heartbreaking:(

If I get another one, it will be from a good quality breeder:)

I think you are doing the right thing checking into breeders before adding to your family. I hope you find a yorkie that is a good fit for your family.

I am not familiar personally but a friend of mine years ago wanted a Shih Tzu and her husband purchased one from them and the dog was very, very sick. They have all different breeds and I believe are running basically a puppy mill, its a Pet Store. I would not recommend you buy from them.
