Pet Tent? Do any of you have one of these pet tents? PinkPlaid Pet Dog Cat Tent Puppy Playpen Exercise Pen S (814836015271) | eBay I thought about purchasing one of these for our upcoming trip home for Christmas. It folds flat so would be great for portability in and out of the hotel. And I was thinking it would be good to take with us to the get togethers so Katie Scarlett could be with us, but be safe and not underfoot. I was just wondering if anyone here had used one with their Yorkie and what your reviews were on it. Any input greatly appreciated!!! Thanks guys! ;) |
I know many on here have one. I have been wanting to purchase one for Taycie for travel as well. I think it looks great! |
I bought one, set it up in the house and never really used it. It is easy to put up and take down, and a huge perk is how portable it is. After a few weeks, I finally took it down, but will be breaking it out at Christmas when family comes into town. |
1 Attachment(s) I bought two one for my mom and one for my SIL, they love it,my mom uses her when she has company to keep Ruby confined so she is out of the way, she gives Ruby a toy or a chew and keeps her in there, where she is safe and out of the way of children and visitors feet.. my SIL uses her for the pomeranian to sleep. Here's miss Ruby in her tent.. she loves it... hugs, |
Oh, how cute is Ruby in her tent! Do you know what size that is? I was looking at a small, but they come in XS, S, M, and L I think. Would a pad tray thingie fit in there with her you think? You know the thing you clip the pad onto to? That way she has somewhere to go if need be? |
1 Attachment(s) I have the pet gear pen. It's great for use when visiting people and I want ZoE with me, but not running around (like when visiting my son's beer soaked carpeted college apartment...). I keep it folded up in the back of my car at all times. As much as I like it, I would never leave ZoE in it if I wasn't there to watch her. She is able to flip it on its side and walk it around the room (like a hamster in a ball). I always take her wire crate too, on planned trips so I have it if I need to confine her AND make sure she is safe when left alone. |
yes, that is the small, the xs was too small for ther bed and pee pad holder which she has the small from petco. the small fits both confortably and if need be her water bowl. My mom say that she keeps it open in a corner of the family room and when Ruby wants to take a nap she just walks in and takes a nap, so for her is her safety spot. hugs. |
I have one and I set it up in the yard next to me when I am relaxing on my hammock. I put two beds or pillows and some toys in there and the pups love to go in there and relax right next to me. If it is hot/sunny I throw a light blanket over the mesh top and they love the cave effect. Only problem I have is I could never get it to fit back into the little carrying case. |
I have a medium size one for Oz. He's in it when we're at work and we take it with us when visiting other people. We love it, BUT, there are a few things to note: 1. If your pup is a jumper, make sure to put the top on it. Oz only jumps up and down with joy when we come home, and he could literally jump out of it if he wanted to, but he hasn't realized yet that he can do that. However, because he jumps up and puts his paws on the top, the zipper 'tread' on the top is totally busted so now there's no way to put it on. 2. The zippers on the doors are cheap and break REALLY easy. I suggest you just leave them zipped up if at all possible. 3. Oz loves his playpen, but when really bored, he has chewed the stitching that holds the panels together. It isn't going to last too much longer, BUT, we use it every single day. I expect that at this rate it might last another few months - we've had it for about 4 months now. Since we mostly use it at home, I think the next pen will be sturdier. However, I will get him another one of these playpens for travel, because it really is easy to travel with. 4. A definite plus is that the bottom of the playpen is completely attached, so your pup can't escape out the bottom. Some other pens have just a few spots of velcro on the bottom. 5. Another plus is easy clean up of any spills or accidents. All in all, for the price (we paid $34), I am totally happy with our playpen and would highly recommend it for small dogs like yorkies. |
I purchased a playpen for babies,,it is so much sturdier and a bit more expensive but if ya go to rummage sales and such you may find a good used one..it really is a safe place for Prissy to play for when I am busy with cooking or cleaning and not able to watch her every minute...I bought hers at Walmart for around $45.00....:) |
I have one of these for when we go on trips and I absolutely love it! We have the biggest one I think. Callie is trained not to go out the door but with other people opening and closing the door I worry about her going out so I bought one 3 years ago and she did great in it. When it was just Callie we didn't zip the top because shes can't jump crazy high but last year when my mom got Sammy and they both where in there we had to zip the top because Sammy is a spring leg jumper lol. My grandpa loves it too because it doesn't take up to much room when packing it in the car. |
Another LOVE IT from me. Even when it is up you can turn it side ways and it will fit through doors. You can also smoosh it in and it will take up less room when not using it but not take it down all the way. It is true though that they can turn it on the side and use it like a hampster wheel. I have it upstairs in my sewing room right now and I left the room for a FEW moments. Angel had it out the door all the way to the top of the stairs . Scared me to death. Now I put something in front of the door or close it if I have to step out. |
Yes, there are a number of people on here that have them. I think it would be great for your lil girl and would keep her safe. |
I use ours when we stay in a hotel and I have to go somewhere she cannot go. That way I don't have to worry that someone would open the door to the room and let her out. Better to be safe in those situations. |
Thanks for your input guys! I just ordered one! Shhh! Don't tell my husband! LOL |
