realize the vinegar smell quickly dissipates compared to urine-especial if after it dries you sprinkle baking soda leave a few minutes for it to absorb any residual smell then vacuum.- I do this periodically in the entrance where the rug gets heavy traffic. |
We just bought an air purifier. I shampoo the carpets all the time, but there was still this animal smell. I have noticed a difference. It isn't totally gone but I don't walk in the house and get hit with the smell. |
Spot Bot I purchased a SpotBot and use Bissell OxyGen2, also diluted half/half in a spray bottle and get at the accidents right away. Well worth the price to save the almost brand new carpet and my relationship since it was my brite idea to get Smokey in the first place. ;) |

I bought a few over priced ones and so many of the kind you find at any hardware , home improvement and big box store-I'm ready to give up none of the ones I've bought really seem to do much. Well I take that back the industrial one I was using worked very well but it was too expensive to run. |

The biggest plus: NO DOGGIE SMELL!!!! :D:aimeeyork |
I've been using these for about 8 months now and LOVE em. Pricey but well worth it in my opinion. ..: Airfree :.. |
I use my Shark floor steamer on the carpet after cleaning it... it really makes a difference. Also, hydrogen peroxide on spots will help (cheaper than the Oxy2 stuff):D |
