Bully bones or sticks??? I'm looking into getting some of these for my fur butts, but am wondering if these will last long enough. Are they bigger like a raw-hyde bone or are they the size of say, like pupperoni sticks? Is there a diff between the bones and sticks? Thanks for any info peeps! :D |
Our breeder gave us a bully spring, it lasted 4days. We then got him a bag of bully springs and they were expensive 40.00 for 12 and one will only last a day. I haven't tried the sticks but I heard to get unscented ones. |
Bully sticks last a long time they are the best in my opinion. |
Definitley go with the bully sticks. they last Rocco for a very long time.. I get mine from bestbullysticks.com i buy the odorless 6inch thick.. you can buy by the pack 25 for like 35dollars or individually like 1.60 each... |
It depends on how much of a chewer your pup is. We don't use them anymore because my girls would fight over them. Izzy, my bigger girl, would gobble hers up in a couple of hours, then go after Luna's, which would be barely chewed. They do make them in braids, those seemed to last longer. I have been wanting to try the Himalayan Chews I've read about here. Supposedly they last a good long time! |
Oz loved his bully sticks, but they didn't last very long and were really smelly. Tried a cow hoof and it lasted a long time but was even worse for smell - and his whole face was stinky! I have recently purchased a deer antler piece, and it doesn't smell and seems to be lasting a really REALLY long time. The package says that the antlers are naturally shed, so I'm praying nobody is actually killing deer for these. It is pricey, too, at $10 for about an 8" piece of antler. However, because of the lack of smell and how long it's lasting, I don't think that's a bad deal. We got it at a place called Olly's. |
I think it all depends on your chewer and the thickness you get. I buy the regular thickness ones from bestbullysticks.com that are 12" and Callie can eat one in a day.I also buy the braided ones and that can last Callie 4 days or a little more. Callie is what I would call an expert chewer lol. Also Callie is 16 pounds. |

I also get the 6" odorless bully sticks. Brutus will chew on them for awhile and then just walk away. If they sit out for awhile and get "dry" he seems to loose interest. He is a little chewer, so I keep them on hand to substitute for things he shouldn't be chewing on. |
Thanks everyone! I found some on the web, but it didn't say what the circumference of them were. They are 6 inch premiums and are supposed to be low odor and all natural, NOT MADE IN CHINA! N |
Yikes! I hit the enter button by mistake. They are supposed to be made with lots of good things in them and no irriadation, no fillers, no smoking, hormones or other bad things. They are 1.54 for the 6 inch premiums at Westbrook Dog. I think I better get some soon as Mojo is trying to use everything else in the house to chew on,lol. |
Thanks for the heads up on is site! Quote:
