Different coats I have come to the conclusion that Mikki will have a different type of coat than Rosie. Rosie has the fine silky hair. But Mikki's feels a lot coarser. I don't have much experience with this type of coat. I think it is not going to grow near as long in length as Rosie's does. Any one know? Also, is it ok to use the same kind of brush on her hair? Any advice appreciated. Thanks! |
My Rubin has thick straight hair that never mats or snarls. It only grows knee length then stops growing. His black hair stayed black and never turned silver blue like his parents who were both show dogs with amazing long coats. He has their top line and his dad's pretty face. But, not their coat. I use the same good brushes. |

All 4 of mine have different coats. 2 silk coats one is very silver the other black. The other 2 have cottony coats but both are different and one is real black and the other is more faded black. I use different brushes on each one. The silky coats I use Chris Christensen gold series pin brush and madden pin brush. On the cottony coats I use CC wood pin brush and a CC slicker brush. I have had good luck with Pet Silk shampoo and conditioner. All of them grow floor length coats. Your Rosie looks like she has a coat similar to my Pixie's. |
My Bella is soooo soft and it mats like crazy even though I brush her 2 times a day :( Tibb's is not as soft but it is straight and grows beautifully never mats but I keep them both short for now :) |
