Good luck to Gracie, and you.

How many weeks does the Mother carry a pup(s)? I heard the average litter is 3. Does this sound right?

The Spoting!!
 
I have talked to the Vet.and been to him 2 times, he tells me that what I am doing is just fine and she is HEALTH. Have done some much reading on this, plus talking to some breeders on YT and then some. I just wanted to know she said that she sees some spoting. What is this about? I did not read anything that talked about spoting. :confused:
I do have a whelping kit. and all the books that I can have to whelp safely, but you just never know what can happen. I just want what is best for my little mother do be. This is the love of my life and want her to be health and safe.

I have talked to all that I can about start to finish, but most of the time you never know what is going to happen even if you are a breeder or not.
I am not a breeder. when I posted I was talking about only the spoting, I know that the temp. has someting to do with it. when the drop happens then the time is soon to be here.

Just wanted to know about this spoting thing!!!

Nothing yet...except bags under my eyes. I hardly slept at all last night. I put her in the play pen so that she wouldn't go off somewhere. Since the playpen has newspaper in it, I also put in one of my pillows. Anytime she moved, the newspaper rustled so UP I went. Her temp has fluctuated between 96.8 last night to 97.9 this morning.....SO, maybe today.

Hubby is at home today. He doesn't know nothing 'bout birthin but he knows my work number and I only live 2 blocks from where I work...plus, I'll go home at lunch to check on her.

Will keep ya updated.

You had better take some little naps and get some rest today just in case she waits until later tonight to have them!!! :) We're all so excited!!!

Oh you poor thing!!! I missed the part in your post where you said you were working!!! Maybe you can rest some when you get home if she hasn't had them yet!!!

I feel for you Kimberely. It is so hard being there waiting and worrying. I dont know how the breeders that have 10+ females do it. I would never get sleep. Belles pups are 3 days now and I am just starting to get some rest. Good luck.

I dont have anyone that is going to be at me house....I WISH!!! I dont think that I could get anyone that would come to my house and help me......anyone want to come over and help???
I did talk to someone that just had puppies and she is helping me and the Vet. too.
Plus I have some paper work that I got from the breeder that I got the whelping kit from.
I only thing that I can do is sat and help as much as I can.
Right now I am out of town and Daddy is looking after her.......that is his baby. I did ask that he take her temp. two times a day and hope that she is fine tell I get home. She is not to whelp tell the 10th.

I hope that you did not think that I was going off on you, I know that I did not word my reply right. SORRY :( Sometimes poeple are not as nice that I would like them to be, that is why I dont say much on here. :(

Thanks for wanting to help, I know that I can use some at some time

Hi Courtney!! I live in Charlotte too! I am not a breeder by any stretch of the imagination but one of my Yorkies, Bitsy, had a litter of puppies back in April....with that experience behind me, plus the tons of things I have learned on this board, I would be glad to help you in any way at all!!!! I live on the Charlotte/Pineville line, about five to ten minutes from Carolina Place Mall in Pineville. I have four Yorkies and I read a LOT on here!! That doesn't make me an expert but I would love to help you!! I can PM you my phone number if you like and we can talk on the phone...or you can call me when she has them and you need help...just anything...you let me know. If nothing else, maybe we can get together sometime and have a Yorkie playdate!!! :)

Nothing yet! But they'll come when they come. Temp is still 99 and below and SO AGGRAVATING!!! But what can I do but wait!

That is the sad part of this wait and wait. Is she looking sad, like peyton is doing. With her big brown eyes??? It is so sad to see her like this. But when all do things are so happy to see them be the best mother that they can be..... :D
