Eww! Not such a good suprise! Oh today has been one heck of a day! 11.11.11 was supposed to be a great day, but it really was anything but! I spent my afternoon/evening in the children's hospital with my nephew. He was rushed in via ambulance. He is 7 wks old and couldn't breathe. So with that being said, poor Little Lucky was alone for about 8 hrs. I know, I know I feel horrible! But I needed to be there for my nephew and sister. When I came home, I was greeted by a horrible surprise. There was poop EVERYWHERE, and I mean EVERYWHERE! Good thing I gate off Lucky, but he must have went to the bathroom and walked in it. Oh gosh it was a big, gross mess! I had to clean it up and give him a super good long bath. But with all that being said, it was my fault cuz I was gone (it was an emergency). So of course I did not get upset. I know some people get so mean and mad when dogs have accidents and I just don't know how people can do that to their dogs. He's my baby, and accident or not, I love him to pieces! :) |
Aww, poor lil guy. He probably felt bad for pooing while you were gone. I'm glad to hear you didn't get upset with him. It sounds like he has found the perfect home! |
:bighug: |
After such a hard day what a shock to come home to. I bet you were all set to get home and just rest for a bit. Poor Lucky he had a hard day too, but it happens sometimes. I hope your nephew is okay. What a scary situation that must have been/is. |
Emergencies happen, and it's good that you were understanding and didn't get upset with your pup. I'm sorry to hear your nephew isn't feeling well. How is he now? When my nephew was just 3 weeks old he came down with RSV, and couldn't breathe. It was horrible. He spent a week in the NICU at the children's hospital center, and it was a very scary time. I hope the little guy feels better soon! |
Sounds like both guys had a pretty awful day and I can only imagine how you and your sister must feel! Hope your nephew is doing better - way scary!! |
First off, I hope that your nephew is feeling better, it must have been terrifying for all of you! Praying for a full recovery for him:love: Second, LOL!!! Sorry, I've been there, done that, had to burn the t-shirt:p It sucks, but at least it was confined to one area, could have been worse. Hugs!!!!!!! |
I hope the baby is doing better now. You are right, your pup had to do, what he had to do, because his Mommy was gone. Nobody's fault, clean it up and forget it. Hugs |
First off, hope your sister's baby is okay. Things just happen sometimes at the worst time and can't be helped. Your baby had to go and couldn't help it either and I'm glad to see you had patience with him. Hope today is a better day for everyone. |
Hope your nephew is doing better?? Accident happen..it comes with having any pet... So many people get angry with their dog after the fact and that will confuse the dog..so glad you kept cool... |

Hope little nephew is much better. Your baby had to poop and it was just nature. In all that time, if they make stool, most will have to move it. Some will hold it if they are highly housetrained but they have to be physically mature enough and fully housebroken before they do. Plus, many Yorkies get upset when they sense we are under duress or when we leave them suddenly and out of their excitement or concern for why we are upset and/or gone, their bowel is superstimulated and they may go more than normal. Even a normally well-housebroken Yorkie may poop in the house under these type circumstances if they sense stress or feel confusion. I am so glad upon coming home from such a stressful situation to all that poop you didn't freak out and blame your baby for letting nature take its course! Thank God you understood and didn't further confuse or upset your little housemate by hitting or yelling. |
Poor little guy! I hope your nephew is doing ok! I will say a prayer for you guys! |
