Prayers for my Lizzie
 
I have just spent the whole morning at the Vet with my Lizzie, she is 14 1/2 years old. She was Dx'd in July with Lymphoma. But she also has a Tumor on her Liver as well. The past two day's Lizzie hasn't eaten and just keeps sleeping. I had a hard time waking her up this morning.
I got dressed real fast and ran up to the Vet, I'm so happy my Vet's always make's time for me with no appointment and just as a walk in.
We got an X-Ray and her Liver tumor has grown and her blood work shows she is starting to go in Kidney Failure and it also looks to be a mass on her Kidney now as well. It was sure was ugly x-ray to look at. (meaning I can't believe how much that tumor has grown since July)
She got fluids and will have to take her in tomorrow for more fluids. Lizzie will not allow me to administer her fluids at home, I have tried. We have upped her pain med's more now as she seems to be in more pain.
So could I have please have some prayers for her. I know her time is getting more limited and it just breaks my heart. I have had my Lizzie since she was 8 weeks old.

I have tears in my eyes reading your post. It is so heartbreaking when our pups get older. I'm praying for you and Lizzie and sending hugs to both of you.

Vicki, I am so very sorry to hear the heartbreaking news about Lizzie. I know how much it hurts losing an old friend, we had a similar experience back in June with our 15 year old Boo the Boxer. Treasure every minute you have with her. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear your news about Lizzie. It's so difficult to know that your time is limited. Try very hard to enjoy all the time you have left and not to dwell on the inevitable. I'm saying prayers for happy peaceful times for you and her. My heart goes out to you.

This is just terrible to hear about. I am so sorry Lizzie and you are going through this and I will surely keep that sweet little lady in my prayers along with her mommie. It is so wrong for doggies to have to suffer and have illnesses - it breaks your heart every single time.

Praying for you and Lizzie. I know how hard it is to care for a senior and when they are so sick. But, she has a loving family and mommie that loves her and will do whats best and we would do it all over again for them. Praying they can give her meds that will make her comfortable and like someone said, just cherish every moment you have with her. BLess you and little Lizzie.

I'm so sorry:unlove: I'm sure that you are heartbroken, knowing that you don't have much time left with Lizzie. Sounds like it might be time to let her go and end her suffering, as hard as that is:( Sending you warm hugs:girl_hug:
