She is home. They pulled her 2 carnasial(sp) molars, the biggest teeth the dog has, one was fractured so it came out in pieces the other was infected all the way to the root even with a month and a half of antibiotics. Then they had to pull another molar as the roots were entwined they were difficult extractions and that is why she was out so long. She is hurting but has pain meds so we will keep her comfortable. Jake had his shots, and he needs a dental he still has baby teeth retained. He also has grade 4 lp in his left leg but we are leaving that until he shows he is having problems with it, with him being as tiny as he is he may never have issues. The girls at the vet office fell in love with him instantly and one knows I do fostering and asked if he was going to be put up for adoption, I said over my dead body, this boy is staying!!! So everyone is home safe and sound...... Thanks for the good thoughts |
I'm so glad she is awake but why has she no pain medications? Sounds pretty tough for her. Glad Jake checked out with nothing else but the lp. That's not good but he could have many worse things in addition to that so really glad he doesn't. He's so sweet-looking want to hug him. |
So glad she is ok and home!! What a scare!! I work for a dentist and know how hard some teeth can be! Poor baby... Give her some love from me and my gang!! |

Oh, thank goodness. I misread that and thought she hadn't any! I've a macular defect and sometimes see lines through things that look like other letters when reading - try to read things twice to avoid misreads. Oh, so glad this baby came through the procedure, woke up and is now resting comfortably as they always say on the news. I hope she has a restful and peaceful night and you too get some rest. |

I am so glad that Pixie is comfortably recovering at home and that Jake had no issues with his shots. Hopefully he will never have problems with the LP. |
