2nd Vet Appointment Today
 

Hey guys! Well Katie Scarlett and I went to her 2nd vet appointment (well 2nd appointment with us) today. I took her on a drive in the country in her Snoozer and to PetSmart first. She had a ball on the drive. I think she is definitely loving her Snoozer! I had to pick up some potty pads while at PetSmart and of course I made the mistake of going down the aisle with clothes! Tee hee! BUT they had sooo much on clearance! I got 2 dresses, both under $5 each! I got a pink one for me and then since Brandon (that's the hubbs) said he wanted something besides pink when he walks her so I got a black and camo printed one. So that's my excuse for buying clothes today! LOL!

The vet appointment went great. She gained weight since her last check up and is 3.2 pounds now. Is that good? The vet said she wasn't overweight. I was curious because I read where some said their pups at her age are 2 pounds. She is 16 weeks and 5 days old. We got her rabies vaccination and her kennel cough done today. She had a little inflammation in her ears, so they gave me some drops for that. But other than that, she was the picture of health. I was so proud. She didn't do as good with the shot this time. You would of thought someone was killing her when they gave the rabies shot....and that nearly killed me! To watch her cry so loud in the vet tech's arms was awful for me! I wanted to scoop her up, but I knew I couldn't. It was so sad, but it had to be done. Gotta keep her healthy. They clipped her nails again for me. We got her first dose of flea treatment too. So it was a good day. We are now home and she is sleeping at my feet. Poor thing! She's had a hard day. We have to go back in a few weeks to start her Lyme shots. They didn't want to do them all at once since she was so small. I love our vet! He is so nice and takes a lot of time with you and all of the vet techs are wonderful! I took some pix before we left to share since she was wearing a new sweater. And I'll share my 2 finds at PetSmart.

Anyways, just wanted to share our day. Poor thing...she's sound asleep. Bless her heart!

She is such a cutie! Sorry she didnt do well when she got the shot, Callie did the same thing when she got her very first shot but now she handles them like a champ and of course gets spoiled to death when she has to get one. The dresses are very cute too.

Her size at 16 weeks is around where Belle was at that age. I took her for our first appt at 16 weeks(thats how old she was when I brought her home) and she was 3lbs 8 oz. Now at 1 year old she just weighed in at 6 lbs yesterday. So, I'd say she's just fine!

I love the sweater she's wearing! I need a few more for when Belle goes outside - but never seem to find the deals you do!
