Our new Boy needs a name... We are new parents of a 5 month old little boy Yorkie We currently had all girls: Katie (13 yr old Sheltie) JilliBean ( retiree) (almost 4 yr old Maltese) Emma (almost 4 yr old Maltese) Mimi (2.5 yr old Maltese) Twinkle (2 yr ild Maltese) So he has lots of company, although the girls just roll their eyes at his antics. So far they are are very accepting of him. So any suggestions? So far we like Henry, Radar, Rambo (Bobo), Tucker, Mouse... But none of these really fits perfectly. If i can figure out how to post a picture i will. He is quite small for 5 months and is "all ears" |
Boys names from A to Z listed in OTG (off topic games) you might find something there that you like |
Congratulations on your new baby boy! A friend of mine was telling me about a dog name "Kirby." I thought that was a cute name, but it may be too close to your Katie's name. Charles (Prince Charles is known for his rather large ears) his full name is Charles Philip Arthur George Mountbatten Windsor |
Wally Baxter Finnegan Otis Romeo |
Howitzer, Mortar, Tank, Short Round, or perhaps Steve |
I love the name Oliver like the dog off of Oliver and Company. I have to flash back to old cartoons, ha ha. |
Good morning! And welcome from the UK too!! :wavey: So if we're going along the 'Prince' route - how about Harry?!!!? :star: Sally + Harry x !! |

I LOVE the name Tucker! He will probably grow into those ears. My little guy Ben had huge ears for his size when we got him. But he grew into them nicely by the time he was a year old. :) Meantime they look adorable with those big ears! I also like the names: Ben (of course) Beamer, Jett, Dusty, Jethro (because of Mark Harmon on NCIS), and Simon (because of Simon Baker who plays Patrick Jane on The Mentalist). |
Congrat on your new baby! I like Kyle |
I LOVE Radar! I wish I had thought of that name for Kaos. His ears were too big for his body as a puppy and it took him his whole life to grow into them. I nick named him satellite as a puppy. I'm bad I know. :p |
Congrats on your new addition! I bet he is a real cutie pie! My favorite boy name is Carter. |
Gratz! I like the name Beau. |

How about Bear... because yorkies look like litte bears. Or Teddy?! How about Nemo, because thats just a cute name. Also i like Bo. |
Ricky or Toby are very cute names. :) |
How about Tod, this is the name of the Fox in the Fox and the Hound. |
My friend just adopted two yorkies. One is 5 months old and the other is almost 2. She calls them Wally and the Beaver. I kind of like the name Willie or Casey for a boy although I have a female cat named Casey. |
1 Attachment(s) I added his photo as an avatar... It took some time to resize it on an ipad... Had to find an app and then upload to photobucket but now that i know how i will have more pix to come. He is still nameless.. I promise myself that we have to decide by this weekend. |
What a sweet looking baby! I still like the name Tod. Whatever you think that you like, yell it about 20 times in a row and decide if you want to be saying it alot for the next 15+ years. |
We have decided on a name: GATOR ! My hubby is a big FL Gator 's fan and the pup proudly scrunches up to sleep with my husband on his recliner with the remote control and the Gator's fleece lap blanket...and we know there will be many occasions for him to sport Gator attire! So its official his name is Gator! |

Find a name that fits. Usually I get inspired when naming pups - it just seems like they "look" like a Howard or a Gretchen. I vote for Henry - that's the name I've given to the fox that has made an appearance on the farm. He is beautiful and I think the name Henry fits. Since you are from Florida, Gator would work. |
Its official his name is Gator! Hubby loves the name ... I love it too! It definitely fits him! Big personality in teensy body! Living not too far from The Swamp of the Gator Nation ( Univ of FL Gainesville) its very appropriate. They even make Gator dog apparel and gear! He is very comical! The Maltese look at him and roll their eyes. He is very calm and not much of a barker, but very smart ( he mastered going up and down stairs within 15 minutes.) He is kinda wimpy, screeched like bloody murder when his back claw got stuck in his hair while scratching himself (you would swear his leg was being cut off) We are just love, love, loving him! Thank for all the suggestions! |
