Grooming-How Much Do You Pay? Hya Guys just interested how much you pay for your little ones to be groomed.I mean the whole lot claws trimmed, ears cleaned, teeth brushed, haircut, bath, dry and style?(and a new shiny bow) Just curious as the place we take Rambo only costs us 15euros! I was expecting to pay a lot more - or is because they are so small and cute? :aimeeyork Let me know ur thoughts Love Vikki and Rambo ;) |
The place I take Buster now costs us only 10euro and they will come and pick him up and bring him back at no extra charge!! |
Wow thatīs good that they deliver too :animal-sm :) i just wondered if we were getting a good deal or not i just compared it to when i have my hair done and that costs about 70-80 euros heheh so i think compared to that we are getting a bargain heheh Love Vikki and Rambo :p |
I do most of my own grooming, but will on occasions take them to the groomers for anal glad cleaning. I haven't found the perfect groomer yet but the last two I tried were $25.00 & $14.00. Yorkease |
Yorkease- What is anal clad cleaning? it sounds intense  vikki and rambo :aimeeyork |
The groomer that I take Duke to charges $40, but she does an excellent job! |

$14 so far...I'm very satisfied. |
Randyrambo, Anal glands are two little sacs around the anus that needs to be cleaned. Sometimes the dogs will try to do this themselves by scooting their butts on the floor. I think the groomers and vets do this by applying pressure the the glands. (It is best left up to someone who knows what they are doing which I do not since I don't do gland cleaning). To the best of my knowledge, if they are not cleaned it can lead to infections of the glad. Your vet or groomer could tell you more about this. I hope that help answer your question. If not let me know. Yorkease |
I pay $11 for my Cha-Cha's grooming :) |
I heard it's not a great idea to take them to PetsMart.. has anyone had bad experiences there? |
i pay 18.00$ for beaker.... and im very satisfied |
Petsmart While I prefer my regular groomer at Petco, I did take my Garrett to Petsmart for a puppie cut, they did an excellent job, a little more expensive, $38 but he looked really cute, did his ears, feet, all over cut and gave him a cute bandanna. |
I just took Drake to PetsMart today for their "puppy package" and they did NOT do a good job at all! It is a special deal they do for puppies up to 6 months of age, and it's $14.99! I guess you get what you pay for, but I really expected much more! They didn't cut the hair around his eyes like they were supposed to and a couple of other things! I had no intentions of ever taking him back but now after reading that some of you pay $14 for the "whole nine yards" and seeing your baby's pictures, I will definitely NOT take him back there again! I have a groomer that I take my other dog (yorkie-poo) to, which costs me $28, so I thought I was saving a little money, but compared to what I get for $28, the $14.99 was definitely not the better deal! |
I'm in Germany right now and I love the way they did Buster's grooming. I'm SOOOO glad that they will pick him up and drop him back off since I haven't gotten used to the way Europeans drive yet. No Offense to anyone from over here. Just being from a small town it's a whole lot different to drive over here. I checked around to see some of the other groomers prices and that was the best one especially with the Exchange rate going up and down all the time. I also love it that anywhere in Germany I can take Buster with me because I've noticed that the Germans seem to love their pets more than their own kids! But it's ok cause they are like children anyway. When I first got here I was freaked out when we went out to a NICE restaurant and there was a dog sitting under the table with a bowl of food and water that the restaurant provided. |
