What weird habit does your yorkie have? 1 Attachment(s) Rocco has this funny habit of sucking on his stuffed monkey's head when he's tired or he knows I am leaving for work. It's soooo stinkin' cute, he's like a baby with a pacifier. And he only does it with this one monkey, only on the head, and since he was a puppy (he will be 2 in December). What weird/funny thing does your furbutt do? :D |

Rocco is adorable! :) Max takes his stuffed doggy for a walk around the house after meals and after exciting things like the doorbell ringing. During the walks, he goes up on the couch and looks over the back at me, waiting for me to say, "I see you! Hi Max!" Then he puts the doggy to bed in the tent or a secure corner. |
Tibbs roots and roots his whole body under all the pillows on my couch until they go off into the floor I have to pick them up a million times a day sigh...... |
When Jewels is itchy she will go to the stair steps and itch herself. They will both bark when they see one of our cats at the door to let us know to let them in. We have 5 cats and they know them and dont bark at them when they are in the yard but just let a stray cat come in our yard and they will go crazy. When we put there breakfast plates down they will eat from their plate then they will switch to the other ones plate, they do it every morning. |
Harley has these small toys/pillows that he LOVES to carry in his mouth like a pacifier all day, he'll even sleep with them in his mouth. He also likes to play soccer but he has to have one toy in his mouth and then he kicks the ball on the floor. It's adorable. |
Zoe does TONS of funny stuff. Overall, I think the weirdest thing is that she's more like a human baby than a dog...noises, expressions, everything! I think it's a yorkie thing, but it's SO endearing! |
lola has an issue with couch cushions. she feels like there is something down in them and occasionally goes to town digging thinking something is down there, it is hilarious |

It's not really a weird habit but when I let Tibbe in the house after potty-time, he always bumps my lower leg with his cold little nose. Sometimes it is late and dark and when I open the Utility Porch door to let him in, I feel that little cold nose and know that Tibbe is in the house. He's so small and comes in so quietly oftentimes that with the light off, I often wouldn't even know if he's inside yet until I would turn on the light - if it weren't for his little cold-nose signal to me. If I am wearing pants, I still feel his little bump with his nose telling me he is present and accounted for. |
Tee hee! What cute stories! I really enjoyed reading them! Well, only having Katie Scarlett 9 days, I am sure I'll notice more in the future. But for now, the silliest/cutest things she does: she almost prisses around the house right after her morning and evening groomings. She has this little sway to her back legs and she is like 'look at me.' It's so funny and I am not sure why she does it because she isn't crazy about the grooming part. She is getting better, but she still fights it a tad. But when she's done and we 'ooh and ahh' over how pretty she looks, she gets down and struts her stuff. She keeps us laughing all the time. Then the sweetest thing she does is when she is ready for her afternoon nap. She'll come and nudge my foot to let me know she wants up on the couch. Then she sits in my lap and will nudge her little nose on my hand. I then scoop her up and cradle her like a baby. She falls asleep cradled in my arms like a baby while I rub her belly. Melts my heart every time! :) |
When Sneakers and Becca see me pick up their Jogging Harness', they both sit, and hold their front left Paw up, where the torso belt can be slipped under their legs. They like to GO "......." ! You can put any word in that slot you want... outside, in the Car, Jogging (except Bathe) Just anything where the word GO is used ! :D |
When Lilo is tired she likes to drag 1 of my Toms next to her bed and sleeps right on top of it. Sometimes I think it's her way of keeping me home. Lol. |
Each of your posts made me chuckle. Romeo has a few "cute" things he does. I find it strange though that he will not lick/kiss anyone. With us at home he will sniff faces/hands and then roll over for a belly rub; with strangers he sniffs faces/hands and MAY allow them to pet him. He also will never leave the house with anyone -- his human sisters included -- but me! |
I always joke that Brew was a mob boss in a past life. he loves to dangle his toys off the edge of the couch as he is chewing away. he will try to drop and catch it again quickly before the toy hits the floor. He does miss the toy eventually and i falls down to the floor. he LOVES this. It's like "i'll teach you to mess with this guy". His tail starts wagging like crazy. the toys take a beating... |
Every night when we're lying in the bed Max always has to do his "sleep ritual" which consists of him digging in the covers like he's digging a hole. Get down on the floor and attacking his doggy bed as if it were some kind of threat. Then jump back on the bed and beg me to move my feet under the cover so he can play with them... lol. After that he sleeps like a baby!! But if he doesn't do it he will stay up... all night. |
Weird Habits ? 8 year old Grandpa Rubin separates his food, into portions, 3 neat little piles. He eats one right away. ( I feed them in their crates) one he leaves in his bowl which he covers with his blanket. The last pile he eats slowly laying down. like an ancient reclining Roman feaster. The pile under the blanket he nibbles at about lunch time. The other dogs do not go in his crate. Because that is where he naps, until all the food is gone. LOL |
Elvis needs therapy. 1. He licks himself and picks with his front teeth like a cat. 2. He doesn't like being dirty (see #1) he goes in the yard jumping, tip toeing from "clean spot" to "clean spot" patio to board, to stump to redwood root to stump to stepping stones to accent stone in garden and back...no grass if he can aavoid it. UGH embarrassing! If it has rained and the grass is wet or frosty when it's cold, Elvis will #1 & #2 on the patio cement. #3. Sometimes Elvis is so excited he will spin in circle tucking his butt-lots of dog especially Yorkies do this right-but do they then think eww my bottom touched the floor and have to go clean themselves and then come back 30 minutes later equally excited? Seriously he's OCD. |
All these stories... so cute! Bailey LOVES to be heald like a baby, but only by me... I really don't know why. But when I hold her her head hangs off my arm and she falls asleep. She also likes to come at you with her toy like she wants to give it to you, gets really close and as soon as you reach your hand down to get it, she RUNS! As fast as her short little legs will take her. This isn't really cute, but if the door is cracked to the bathroom she pushes it open with her nose and comes in and lays down, walks around... Can we EVER get any privacy? She also wakes me up in the morning. If the door is closed she will ram into the door over and over again and then do a couple whines and then start all over untill you open the door and she likes to sleep with me in the morning, right next to my face...at 6 in the morning. sigh. I still love her. These furbutts are more like children, not dogs. ;) |
My Bailey likes to sit right on my chest anytime I sit down, he climbs up my lap straight to my "boobs"... LOL and lays down. In the car he climbs all the way up to my shoulder and sits there and looks out the window. |
You are not alone!:rolleyes: Elvis affords me no privacy to go to the bathroom myself. If there is no company here I just leave the door open to save him the stress of scratching the door when it's between us. I'm going to create a thread -specifically about this-I'm comfortable enough to say it now, if I start the shower though Elvis will run under my bed and lay under it in the middle where he knows no one can reach him because it's just easier to give the dogs a bath these days when I -take a shower! One at a time of course! Taking a shower with three dogs in it would just be weird! Quote:

Hehe, Rhia has a ton of weird and cute habits. -She loves to steal socks. Whenever I come home from work she will hop around my feet and wait for me to toss them to her. -She also has an odd eating habit. She'll take a mouthful of food, then run away from her bowl to eat it. She's done this everywhere she goes. Like she's afraid we'll take it from her! -The words "cheese", "treat", and "petsmart" are her favorites. :P |

Gracie likes to sit on the back of the recliner like a cat. She also likes to steal things out of closets or where ever she can find something she should not have. She likes to plant her front feet on my chest and force me to let her lick my face. I know this is her way of saying she is the boss so I don't let her do it for very long. She mostly does it when I have been busy and not paying enough attention to her. |
