Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and support in deciding on a second. DH went on Friday and picked up our new addition - Sidney. (I was sick w some bug Wed and Thurs; still under the weather on Fri). She is a tiny little thing. She has attached herself to DH. She is the same father as Gidget but different mothers.

Gidget doesn't pay much attention to her but so far no fighting. Gidget has an upset belly today (I don't think she's thrilled about sharing.)

DH took and uploaded some pics. You'll have to excuse the house. Between me being sick for two days before and trying to show Sidney where to potty here, we sort of look like we have a newborn! :p

In the one pic, she is looking in a full-length mirror. She is inamoured w herself! She loves to look in the mirror. Her breeder cut her topknot out and gave her a cut to help w upkeep. I'm going to be growing the legs out, trying to get the Joey/Zhoie cut eventually.

Enjoy your new little baby. They are so precious. Hope you feel better,
as it is much more enjoyable taking care of Yorkies when you feel well.

She is so pretty!!! You are so lucky that they are not fighting! We had war here at my house! :D I am so glad that you got her. You are going to love having two! There is nothing sweeter than two Yorkie kisses each morning!

Thanks so much for answering our panicked call for help last night! She is doing better today w pottying. Fingers crossed! ;)

Thank you. I don't quite have a clan your size, but we're starting to add to the family. Adding just one is keeping us on our feet. I don't know how you do it w your cuties - you must be one of those moms w eyes in the backs of their heads! :D

What a cutie!! Congratulations on your new addition. So nice that they are not fighting! Don't you just love it when they look in the mirror and admire themselves :D

Haha! It's hardest when you first add them, then as you learn their signals, voices, temperments, and personalities and as they learn to get along with each other, it gets easier.

I added mine rather quickly (3 within a year), before any of them really settled in. I got Tink in April, then Sapphire in June, then the opportunity arose to get a Biewer the following January. So they all felt like the 'new' dog for a while. I had Peek a Boo for around 6 years (he was 5 years old when I got him) so he had the most problems adjusting. The girls keep his head spinning and generally overwhelm him most of the time though, lol!

When we first got Finny, the Biewer, Tink thought she was a big squeaky toy (I think bc of her coloring). I turned around to see Tink dragging Finny across the floor by her ear! Tink was just trying to play and poor Finny didn't know what to think! They are both close to the same size, but I still intervened and have managed to put a stop to Tink doing this. Tink never drew blood or caused bodily injury to Finny, but Finny would just lay motionless and allow it to happen.

What a pretty lil girl! Be sure to give Gidget lots of extra lovin & attention & hopefully she'll be accepting of her new sister in no time :)
