Saying goodbye to my Grandapa
 
My Grandpa passed away a little while ago. He was my last living grandparent. He was a very good man. A farmer, a world war II veteran, and a good family man and friend.
My belief is that he is now in Heaven seeing all our loved one's who have passed before him. I'm happy that he is no longer trapped in a worn out body here on earth but my heart is sad that he is gone.

This post is not to have anyone feel sorry for me. This post is just a salute and a loving goodbye to a man who meant so much to so many people. ...even one's who never met him. He proudly fought for his country and he proudly loved his family and friends.

Goodbye Grandpa.. until I see you again someday. I love you and will miss you. You've always been a hero to me.

How lucky you are to have had so much time with such a woncerful man. I understand about being glad that Grandpa made it home. I offer hugs and prayers and strength during the transition time - you will surely feel the pain of his passing.

And to Mr. Lowe, thank you for being such a fantastic role model for your granddaughter and thank you for your efforts in making our country a safer place.

I am very sorry for your loss. I lost my last Grand parent 3 years ago. My Mam Maw was 100 years old when she went to Heaven. She had so many stories I would love to sit and listen. I miss her so much but just like your Grandpa she is in a much better place. Prayers for you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss, but you can take comfort that your Grandpa is now in heaven with no pain. It speaks volumes of him to have such a loving granddaughter who appreciated him. You will miss him terribly but he will always be in your memories and your heart.
I have only one grandparent still living and my Mamaw is almost 90 years young. I dread seeing the day come when I no longer will be able to see her here on earth.

Thank you everyone. Grandpa was good man. Even the nurses were crying. they just absolutely loved him. He would always sing and get them to sing with him. He was a sweetie for sure.
If you'd ever met him, you would have talked like you'd known him forever. He loved people and was always happy to make new friends as well as visit with his old friends.
He will surely be missed by many but the memories of him are many and are good one's.

I am so sorry to read of the loss of your Grandpa. He sounds like he was such a wonderful man. You will always have your memories of him in your heart.

I just want to hug you...I know the loss of losing our are special loved ones. It is obvious, your Grandpa was so loved by you and held a special part of your heart. He will always be in her heart and memories...bless you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing any family member is so hard. He sounds like a true hero to many. Just remember he is singing praises with God's angels right now. Sending hugs and prayers to you as you make it through this difficult time.
