I have never seen a picture of your Teddy. What a cutie! Very nice job on the ears. I need to work harder on ears, getting them trimmed right to the edge of the flap. I agree, only the top 3rd, otherwise they look like bat wings, lol.

hahaha....yep they can look funny

Thanks....Teddy is a cutie. Actually you may have seen him in the Halloween contest a couple of years ago. He was the circus yorkie...he was in a clown costume doing a handstand. :)

I prefer them tipped and clean looking. The last groomer left too much on his ears for my liking... like around the sides. I can't decide if I like them with more hair or totally clean.

Picture #1 = "clean" ears
Picture #2 = left too much hair, for my liking, lol.

Both pictures were right after he was groomed.

Then one groomer tipped WAY too far down and his ears looked HUGE... I just can't decide how to do Jackson's ears... haha they are so big either way! hehe
Great pictures. Have the groomer leave hair at the base of the ear, where it meets the skull. If it is cut too short where the ear meets the head, that is what makes Yorkie ears look huge. Only the top third, near the tip of the triangle, should be trimmed close to the edge. Also, shave the inside of the flap. That is always hard for me on Max because he hates the buzzing of the clipper the closer I get to the ear hole.

I'm going to have to look for that picture. Sounds hilarious! I must have missed the costumes.

Question: When you are growing the hair out do you tip the ears like Peanut in the 2nd pic?

Aw thank you! I thought of you the other day! Peanut and I were playing outside, all of a sudden he ran inside and brought me his skull toy that you got him!! The one that makes that laughing noise!! Haha :D

Here are some pics of Pippi....she did not want to put her ears up today. haha

I will look to see if I have better ones, but you can see that just the tip is shaved and her hair falls around her ears.
