I have absolutely no comment whatsoever to someone who chooses to defy odds & recommendations set forth for the good of the dog. But, God Bless the dogs, and may angels watch over them. |

I'm tickled that your babies are healthy! As a christian myself I find that God's will for us is to keep the peace as he would. Although I understand your need to confront others over the comments they made ,that you thought was rude but, that's NOT godly! It's actually stirring the pot as the old saying goes Everyone here just gets defensive because you don't realize how much they love Yorkie's!! True christians keep silent and turn the other cheek and mind their own business. God knows their heart and their intent and that's all that matters in their lives! I think you meant well, honest; but this will only cause you more drama and pain because you didn't follow God's standards of handling problems!! |

Hmmm interesting. |
I didn't see the posts that you're talking about BUT----If someone was rude to you, I'm sorry. However, most of the time the very passionate Yorkie-Lovers here just want to educate on what's best for the dogs, and to warn of potential trouble. There have been MANY broken hearts here, due to not knowing what constitutes an ethical breeder. Pups have died being sent to their homes too early, and when they're tiny it's especially dangerous. Not to mention the behavioral issues that arise from puppies that are taken from their Mommies before she's had a chance to teach them their manners. So if you feel that you were "badmouthed", I'm sure that certainly wasn't the posters' intentions. Sometimes when we're hearing something we don't want to hear, we can interpret it as "badmouthing" or "bashing". And yes, sometimes tempers flare and things are not said very gently. We are all here to have fun and talk about our Yorkies, but we also all have a responsibility to advocate for these beautiful creatures who have no voice. Hopefully you'll understand that and maybe looking back, you'll see some of the "toughest" posts in a different light. As for being Christian, that's neither here nor there. We have all different faiths here, but we all have one thing in common. We care for these innocent little puppies a lot, and each other. Religion has nothing to do with it. |

I raised Dachshunds for sixteen and half years.. I was Illinois state licensed and NOT a puppy mill. I kept anywhere between 8 and 12 adult breeding dogs through the years....I usually bred at least one litter per year and sometimes 2 or 3 litters. In the state of Illinois any breeder with 5 breedable females MUST be state licensed and inspected. I did heath testing on my dogs and bred nice dogs with nice lines and bred acording to the breed standard (Dachshund Club of America) and altghough I didn't personally show my dogs, I had 3 close friends who we kind of worked together with our lines/dogs and they show. When I quit, I placed 4 of my dogs with a show friend, 2 into pet homes and kept one (spayed). Anyway... I think there may be a mix up about the inspections/license. Most all puppy mills are USDA licened because they have to carry that license to be able to broker their puppies. As far as I know, not all states have a "state license" requirement. I just know Illinois does. I just wanted clarify that not everyone who is state inspected is a puppy mill. ;) I know lots of very reputable breeders who do health testing, show their dogs and care very well for their dogs who are state licensed. |
