Camouflage Puppy Occasionally, Jax will disappear and we can't find him anywhere. We run around panicking and trying to find him outside or in the back of the house. It always turns out that he is just sleeping somewhere in plain sight. Our decor, his bed, his blanket, etc. are all in shades of brown and tan, and he blends right in. So we call him the camouflage puppy. I was just wondering if anyone else has a camouflage puppy! |
Not mine, but I know the feeling. You run around like a chicken with its head cut off, and then you finally find them, they're like, Wha? what's your problem? You're cutting into my beauty rest! |
LOL...I can't find Kaos all the time. I yell his name, and he is almost always right under my feet in plain sight. Giving me the look like ..."um what's the problem, I'm right here like always." :p |

Just decided to get a lighter rug for the kitchen floor after losing mine twice today and he was lying by my feet. I just go into panic mode when I don't know where he is (visions of chewing the few cables I can't protect) :):) |

I don't have a camouflage pup, but I have a Houdini. There have been times we've gone into panic mode, and realized eventually that we accidentally locked him in a closet or behind a door, cause he snuck in when we weren't looking. |

Hahaha i do that all the time, Max likes to sleep under the computer desk while im on the computer and i almost always forget he's there and starts panicking looking for him... Then when i've turned the whole house upside down looking for him, he'll come from under the desk yawning, like a little angel, and looking at me like im some kind of mad woman. |

Hehe! I usually am calling Gizmo looking all around for him. And he's usually right under me by my feet. That's what happens when you're tall and get a short pup!:p |
Our house is kind of spread out so Ziva wears a bell and a light aluminum tag so I can find her.We are going to have to find a different sound for Abby! I (mistakenly)bought a dark colored crate mat for Ziva, now she can really disappear! |

That sounds cute but like it could be scary sometimes. When I was growing up we had a beagle on the small side and I used to have stuffed animals on my bed and he would wedge in with them and look like on of them and we couldn't find him a few times. |
Yes & usually she is right behind me saying what is your problem mom I'm right here. |

Yeah my cat is the camouflag cat. I could search from room to room looking for her, and she will magically appear from the room I just searched. Brandi on the hand is like velcro....don't have to worry about her being camouflag as she is too busy being nosy and following me around. |

Yup that happens to me a lot too. I go in a walk-in closet and Miss nosy follows me in without me seeing her, then I closed the door. About 5 minutes later when i noticed my shadow is not following me.....that's when I go into panic mode.:p |
Chachi is the disapearer in our house. I wont see him for awhile and think oh no did I leave him outside but Ill call for him and he will appear from under a bed or somewhere |
We almost lost Trixie once when she snuck out of the house on my husband....my neighbor found her sitting on our front porch. Now, I panic whenever I don't see her.....only to find her either sitting in our front bay window or right behind me :D She looks at me like I'm crazy. |
Mine doesnt go out of my site too much. He's usually every where I am. But we have a king size bed that we sleep in and he does now get to sleep with us. He takes his rightful place right in the middle. But, I have a spare bed in another room and sometimes I'll sleep in that room. The bed is lower and he can jump and make that one, he cant the king size. But, occasionally I'll get to looking for him and cant find him and he's usually always close by, and I'll get to looking and he'll have wen and jumped back in the bed and be setting snuggled up in a pile of covers. :O) |
