potty training on the go! Im planning on bringing my puppy to my boyfriends house this weekend to show him off but theres one thing I had a question about. Hes gotten really really good at paper traning and are other yorkie that past on used to use the litter box and this one actually went in there once without us really training him to do so. But heres the question, hes gotten really good at going on the paper but still doesnt go outside. I dont know if its because its too cold right now or what. So I wouldnt really be bringing him over till later at night like around 6:30 or 7 and staying till 10 or so. So I was wondering should I just make sure he goes to the bathroom before I leave and after he goes dont feed him anything til later so he goes at home or bring paper with me? I would really hate for him to have an accident over there! So if you could just let me know what would be the best thing to do that would be great! Thanks a bunch! |
I travel to friends houses with my yorkie. I bring a few sheets of newspaper, his toys and some kibble in a baggie. Then I watch him closely at their homes. |
Potty Training... Our Cooper is almost 10 weeks old, and has been with us for nearly two weeks. He is responding fairly well to paper training, and it's too cold to take him outside! How old were your yorkies when they were fully potty trained? our other dogs are all older, and Cooper is our first little dog. We don't remember how long it took to train our last baby puppy (our now 4 year old golden retriever)! We take the paper with us wherever we go, and watch him closely. I suppose the idea is to never let him miss the paper, but he is sneaky! And he gets distracted easily when he's on the paper and will run off to do something else. Any advice? Christi |
