Did anyone get their yorkie blessed today?
 
We took two of ours to get blessed today. The girls tolerated well and even got a snack :D

Macy went and found a new little friend in the process. There was even a brave cat among all the dogs.

Is today the blessing of the animals????? I thought that happened mid month? I've been trying for the last 2 years and someohow always miss he date. :(:(:(

Callie is already blessed she has a home, food, bones, toys, love, treats clothing, and is super spoiled so I'm not sure why she would need to be blessed when she already is but then again I'm baptist :)

What is the blessing of the animals? I've never heard of it. I'm very interested in learning about it though....

We had a blessing at our church this afternoon, but had to miss it because we went to a football game. They are lovely and so peaceful.

We took our two Yorkies to a local Episcopalian church yesterday and had them blessed. It was a very nice ceremony and the weather was beautiful here yesterday. The church has also invited our local Humane Society to bring some adoptable animals along so I took one of them as well.

We went Saturday....they weren't blessed, we were an hour late:rolleyes: But did some socializing and walking around. Local police had their K-9's out doing demo's and tricks :)

I feel the same way and I am blessed to have my 4. I am also Baptist and never heard of this.

In our city it was an interfaith blessing. There were many different denominations and some different religions (as in non-christian).

My dogs blessing was done by an Anglican priest. You could choose which religious official you wanted. I am non-religious so it didn't matter to me which one we got.

Sophie Kate is being blessed tomorrow night, anyone in the Alpharetta GA area St. Thomas will be holding their service at 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening.

Avery my cat was blessed 10 years ago at an interfaith service they held in our city.

Our Blessing of Pets was this evening. I too feel that they are already blessed in every way, but we were going to be at the church for my dd's choir practice anyway and she insisted we bring the girls. Everything went well; dd was excited bc they sang a song during the little ceremony.

Once we were all loaded up to head back home, my dd cheerfully leaves dh a message that the girls were baptized :D and she's so happy bc the whole family is blessed now :angel: hehehe
