I'm still crying happy tears for my friend and her baby!!!! |
I remember when all that happened... I'm SOOOO happy that she found him! What a blessing! |
What a wonderful ending, since I can't teach Joey our address or phone number a microchip is the only way to go! |
I am so happy for both of them :) |
Congratulations Zeke and Zeke's mommy!! What an amazing story and happy ending. Quote:

Perfect opportunity to be proactive on behalf of lost furbabies I was thinking that this is a perfect example of why each of us needs to send a letter to the vets in their area asking them to please scan for chips in all new animals they see and make sure the information confirms what the new client gave them. Does not take but a minute to do and could save a baby who is in need of finding their true home. This seems especially important with all of the national media attention being paid to the increase in stolen dogs. After reading this last night I sat down and composed a letter to send to all the vets in my area! |

I would also like to add that Zeke did not have his collar on when he went missing. As I'm sure many of you know it is a big issue with me to make sure they wear collars. In this case he had come swimming and the collar was removed. PLEASE ALWAYS MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ON A COLLAR as well as being chipped. |
What a happy thread..so happy for Zeke and his mommy and family :DThis sure does warm your heart...and so happy Lexi is chipped! |
Wow thats is amazing so happy for Zeke and is momma :animal36 |

I am so happy to hear of this joyous occasion. I'm new to YT, so this happened long before my time, but I am so happy to hear of the safe return of Zeke. I didn't read the whole thread, but I read enough of it that I know if the situation were me, I couldn't help putting up posters where those people were sure to find it saying Never Mind, I got MY dog back. OK, I have an evil vindictive streak, but I can't help but to think that the pain they're feeling for losing Zeke is more than justified by having stolen him in the first place. That's Karma for you. Congrats on getting your baby back. It's been a long road for the two of you, and I'm so glad the journey is over, and you two have each other again. |
This is soooo awesome! I went and read the old thread, my guess is he was at the solicitor's home this WHOLE time! esp. if he was just a few blocks from her home when found... as much as it sucks to have gone 4 years without hime, I am at least glad she had the decency to keep him and not sell him off for $$$ at least you know he was probably somewhat loved and looked after. My worst fear would be someone taking Maci or her getting lost. Sicknesses I can deal with... there's vets for that. But her actually being gone... :( Hopefully you and Zeke have some happy years ahead And I agree. ALL vets should check new patients for a chip that matches the info given by the "owner" if it doesn\'t match then they should call the number on the chip to insure that dog is not stolen/lost |
