Oh, I'm so sorry you had a rubbish night again - it's difficult to focus and function when you feel like a zombie?! :( You truly, truly have to stick this out. Just the same as with human babies, you reach a point - you know your baby can do it - and it's not a battle of wills yet, but that's what it will become if you don't stick with it now. I don't know what everybody else thinks - but how about putting the crate (shut) up onto your bed with you and don't give in!!! :) Your fiance will have to sleep elsewhere for the couple of nights it will take to re-establish the routine - if he moans about it - tell him he created this new monster!! Sorry, I don't mean to sound really harsh :( Good luck again tonight! Sally + Harry x |
So how did last night go? Sally + Harry x |
HI EVERYONE!!! so yesterday i got off early from work, and made it a point to spend more time getting lola outside, running and nice and tired. we played, ran, practiced her "come" command. she was having a ball! at night i was so tired, took her out again, she went outside. then we layed on couch to watch tv. she and i both fell asleep. she got up once and barked and i took her outside and she went #2. her barkign was telling me she had to go. came back inside, layed back on couch with her, fell asleep again. she jumped off the couch 2 times in the night and guess what, went right ot her pad, did pee pee and came back to me, then back to sleep. Not one bark, nothing. now, do i think sleeping on the couch wit hher is good for my relationship, no way. do i realize that she is much better at goign on her pad in teh middle of the night, yes. so i am considering bringing her upstairs in her crate tonight and seeing what she does. i am going to invest in stairs to put by the bed, bc she is learning to get up and go pee then come back to sleep. i also need to tire her out as well before bed. i just feel bad bc she truly loves to sleep with her mom, she is happy and calm and doesnt bark at all. so confused |
