I've gotten some good feedback on here, he's eating the kibble right now, I offered some rice too last night, but he only ate was hitting the kibbles. I think what's frustrating me is the fact that the vet keeps changing her mind. First she suggested one RC food, then another, then yesterday a third and this was all in 2 weeks. She also mentioned a bunch of meds on Monday last week when she saw him, and prescribed a completely different med yesterday. After asking 3 times I finally was told why she changed to that one. In addition she is now saying the fleas are making him sick (either from a possible parasite or bacteria) but at the same time saying the food is making him sick. I brought a friend with me when we went Monday so that she could process all the recommendations better than me in my stressed out state, and even my friend said she was confused with the vet's reasoning. She kept telling me that the food I picked was too high in protein, but it was the same as the one she suggested (or one of them).
He just had a good poo, and has increased appetite, so hopefully this is all clearing up. He had the Revolution Tuesday, the vet said wait 2 days to bath, so I'm going to give a bath tonight. I was wondering do you think it's safe to let him back in our bed? I'm going to wash the sheets double as frequently and I'm going to vaccuum the carpets and couch multiple times this week, but I hate bugs and really don't want fleas in our bed. Thoughts?
Also I noticed someone mentioned about the vet even giving me the revolution, when I called they said it was over the counter and I could just walk in and buy it without the dog even being present... Is this maybe a different policy in the US vs Canada? I just called and asked her what to do and the tech lady at the desk sold it to me....
Hope that answers everyone's posts. I'm going to give the Go! one last chance. I want to keep him consistent, and truly believe another food switch in the midst of all this mess is not good for him. He's already been switched 2 times plus multiple bland diets (all on vets recommendations) these last two weeks, no wonder his system hasn't allowed him to recover. |
