Hi everyone! Thank you all so much. Diddy is soooooooooooo much better. He slept and I gave him boiled chicken and white rice. He ate it all and he is acting like his normal crazy self :) xoxoxo |
I am glad he is feeling better! Sounds like he had an upset tummy. Make sure he is not getting a lot of people food. |
I have one more question..lol of course. I went to give him his natural choice food this morning and he turned his nose up at it. I mixed a lil boiled chicken in with it and he ate it. I really want him to continue to eat his dog food...I dont want to give him chicken everyday... what should i do? Should I change foods? Or just keep trying? Would it be bad to give him chicken everyday? |
Chicken isn't bad (its protien,it's really good for them). But what you should do is mix the chicken in with his dogfood everyday adding less and less chicken each time until you don't have to add it anymore... and that should work because he's probably bored with his dogfood now that he's tasted something better. lol. |
Ill try that. He's so funny. He used to jump up and down and wait for his food. Lately he has the attitude of "whatever" towards it. Since Ive been adding the chicken he's been jumping up and down again lol. |
yea now that he's tasted chicken he thinks regular dogfood is boring, but by adding the chicken it makes his food "fun" again... At least chicken is good for him :) |
True. Thank You! |
Hi, my Romeo had a situation like that several months ago and scared the daylights out of me that I rushed him to the vet. After an exam and x-rays I was assured he'd eaten too much -- too many treats -- and needed a day without food. Please be careful what and how much you are feeding your baby. He may not even realize his stomach is full. Good luck and I hope your baby feels better soon. |
Oh I know! I feel like if i refilled his bowl everytime he finished he would just keep eating till he explodes. They have no idea when they're full. Thank You! |
So glad he is doing better. :) |
Dog food is a balanced diet for dogs and nothing should be added on a regular basis. That will render the diet UNbalanced. |
I agree with Riley Dc. I would do no people food at all. The younger you can get them used to having none the better and you wont have to break them from it later. I at first would give mine very few things until I read what it could do. About the only three things mine will get is Apple pieces which are safe. I just wouldnt give them lots but I sometimes give mine a few chunks the size of the tip of your finger and usually without skin. Carrots are safe but my dogs dont like it much. And pieces of bread crusts and Im not even sure about that one... but It amazes me on here how many people try to "talk" as if its nothing but the best for their babies and such yet Im amazed at how many people give theirs significant amounts of people food.... Im just amazed. I just couldnt do that knowing it'd possibly give them pancreaitis. They can not shows signs of that right away and just hit them suddenly. And its not good. Not bashing you seriously, Im just saying Im suprised about how much some one here do give to thiers. |
