I dont know what just happened! I just came in from work and Choppa and Shanti met me at the door as usual. I open the door and some children are walking by as they get to my front door. I know Shanti will dart out to them so I call to her to stay. She takes off and Choppa does too running to the children. I scream SHANTI!! CHOPPA! and Choppa turns back to run towards me crying and yelping. I run to him and he folds up on his side on the ground eyes closed. I dont pick him up because I can't see where he's hurt. He's laying there yelping, eyes closed little pee pee out . I'm scared so DH comes out picks him up and gives him to me.........and he snuggles me like nothing happened. Did my voice just scare him? They never made it to the children, anyone know why he wigged out? |
I think he had a panick attack when you yelled and he realized he did a no no. I'm sure you had that "oh my god" tone in your voice. Because I would have freaked out too if my dog darted out the door. Poor boy. I think he just freaked out a little. Glad they are ok. :) |
Thanks Ahi's mom. I'm glad he's ok as well. Shanti blew their meet mommy at the door routine. From now on I will come in and close the door and they can't follow me out to unload the car. |
Just thinking about it...lol it would be funny if he pretended to be hurt so you'd forget he did a no no. lol :D silly boy |
yeah im sure he just freaked out a bit. thats scary though.. im glad he's ok |
Oh my... You most likely scared him when you called him....yorkies are unique dogs and respond to things with their own drama like personalities. It is very frightening when they run out like that and I am sorry this happened to you. |
It would be funny if he was being dramatic. I always giggle because when he gets into something and I say NO he will jump on his bed and lay like 'wasnt me...nope not me, musta been Shanti'. I did get a glimpse into what it would be like had something happened to him though... and it was totally my fault for letting him out without securing him. |
