When Finnigan went through this with his first stuffed bone, we bought one exactly like it and hide the first bone. At first he looked for his old one, but after a couple days settled for the new. Now he loves every bone shaped toy he has.

Well, I am going to keep them tied together for a few days and see how it goes. I have them in a ziplock bag right now with a Texas Toothpick tied up to purple dog. She loves those things and I am hoping that will do the trick. Fingers crossed:p I will cut up Yellow dog as a last resort and attach him to all the other dogs. I just hate to do that to her lil buddy :(

I guess we do all the things we do for the little warts is because they are just like our kids. Our little Mandy that passed away from cancer in 08 use to go get her baby after she eat. It was always just after she eat and she would carry it and cry. We could never figure that out unless we even thought she might have wanted puppies??? She would have been a good mommie. I think that baby has one good mommy too. Its so sad to think the little thing didn't know what it was like having toys. Maybe she will accept one of the new ones eventually. I so glad she has such a good home and someone that loves her like you do.

Being a Yorkie momma is hard isn't it? Your a good mommy. Jada will adjust. Look how far you have helped her to come already. Just remember that. I know everytime we had to throw Rosie's messed up toys away it broke my heart. I make my DH do it now. That way he is the bad guy! :p Keep us updated! We all love Jada and want to see her happy with her new toy. :D

Now ya'll and all your sweet comments and genuine concern over my baby and her toy have me sitting here bawling my eyes out. LOL...I am glad DH has gone to bed, he would be calling the men in the padded wagon.:p and he would never admit it but he is as bad as I am.

That is why YT friends are great! We all care about each other and our furbabies. But most of all, we all understand! My DH would never admit it either but he loves both our girls. He tells my son to not tell anyone that he loves the yorkies. They are not manly dogs! :p But he loves them to pieces!

That is such a sweet picture of her. Muffin had a stuffed doggie that was bigger than she was when we got her. It was washed and sewn so many times over the years, but we managed to save "doggie" and he went with her to Rainbow Bridge.

Oh what a sweet story and RIP sweet Muffin. Taking Yellow Dog apart is what I want to avoid at all costs, he is the first and only toy she has played with and he has so much sentimental value to me as well as to Jada.

I will update tonight as she only plays with him after her supper. We play chase for about 30 minutes and then she is through with him except to lay in her bed with him beside her. Hopefully the Texas toothpic in the ziplock with Yellow and Purple dog will do the trick:D

Crystal at this point he can, but he is getting so threadbare that I know he isn't much longer for this world:p I am trying to get her to take up with another loofah before he falls completely apart.
I know I am silly, but I want to be able to keep him because of the sentimental attachment, he was and is the only toy she has ever played with. She took up with him the minute I brought him home and it has been true love ever since:D

I found the thread I started Dec of 09 when she first got Yellow Dog...this is why I want to be able to save him as a keepsake...I know I am a sap:D

Awwwwww, it is ok mommy. You keep yellow dog. But you can only have him once Jada says it is ok. ;)

Ah.....someone please find Jada another Yellow dog! I will be looking at dog toys every time I go out! Poor baby! We had a similar issue a couple years ago with a "pair of lips" toy that made kissy sounds -- remember that one? I found a Pair of lips but they only squeaked and did not "smooch." I sent them along anyway. Maybe I can have better luck finding a yellow dog with that sort of texture! Both the picture WITH her yellow dog and the one with substitutes break my heart! That baby could get anything she wanted from me if I had it to give! What a sweetheart!
