How often do you change/throw out their collars? I think it's time Uni got a new one. She is itching a lot around her neck where her collar sits. I like to keep a collar on her so I can hear where she is at all times. I think we may have had this one for about a year already! Now that I actually think about it, she def needs a new one! How often do you guys change their collars? Anyone have any favorite brands? I may go look on etsy now. |
OMG first page I looked at, I love this! Dog Collar and Flower Set Skulls and Bones by CreatureCollars |
Well I've got a HUGE collar problem so I usually switch up his collar every week LOL. I rotate between like 4 different ones that I have. But he owns a lot more than that, those are just my favs. I have a few of his old ones that I should probably just throw away... they are worn and kind of stinky. He wore two for the first year of his life and I dunno why I even keep them. But yea... I've got a major problem.... he has WAY too many collars!! I change 'em up depending on the day and what we are doing. |
I am a collar addict. I have 3 hooks in Callie closet thing that is just collars. I wash them by hand every time she gets a bath but I still like to change them every couple of months. If they are faded and warn I throw them out if they still are in good shape I keep them. I also keep a collar on Callie all the time so I try to pick one thats comfy and soft. Etsy.com has been my favorite place right now. |
I also wash my dogs collars every time a bathe he and switch up between 3 collars right now. |
OMG how bad am I, I've never even thought of washing her collars  I think I am going to get the one I linked, and she even has an upgrade option for nickel hardware. :) |

Kaos only has one collar right now. :( He wears the smallest Kong collar they make. I like it because its sturdy and is a bit reflective. Its gray and matches his hair. :p He only wears it when he goes outside so it looks brand new. But I plan on buying the blue one soon...hopefully they will stop asking if he's a girl if I do. :) |
4 Attachment(s) I really have gotten lucky on etsy.com... lots of good collar makers for decent prices!! I also like Paco Collars (I got a cat one for Jackson, but they are pricey!) I also keep his puppy collar, a tiny Harley Davidson one, soo cute. He barely even wore it, he grew a bit more than I thought he would, Hehe!! Oh and I love the one you posted! Here's most of his collar collection (like I said, I have a problem! LOL, and most in the first pic were really cheap, the tiny black one was his pup collar) And the last pic is his bandanas, most of them from the groomer that I save. |
2 Attachment(s) Oh and here's his Paco collar. *stands up* Hi my name is Brittany and I'm a collar addict. |

Yeah Paco was the most $$$ collar I have ever gotten but the cat ones are cheaper (well the one I got was $40). |

My "memory box" is currently a plastic storage box where I throw everything. I would like to make something nicer and organize it. Max's first little harness is in there. I love looking at it and thinking of how it was way too big on him. :) |

Ellie doesn't really wear collars. Her harnesses are switched up (she has like 3) whenever (randomly). Whatever one I grab is the one we use. I've never had one wear out on me (maybe bc we do switch them up, but she doesn't do anything to mess them up anyway). I'd wash them if there was a reason to, but she doesn't really get dirty. Didn't even get dirty enough to wash when we played in the lake. Now Ry chews his harness. Probably be unusable anytime now. So his will be changed out much more often. |

We wash our collars every 1-3 weeks depending on when bath time is. I would like to get nice leather ones but I haven't found thin ones yet. And I must confirm, Brit is a collar addict. However, Jackson always looks wonderful:D |

I have decided my two both need new collars, but have not found anything I like :( I'm having trouble finding what I want. I don't know what I want, but I'll know it when I find it! :p I've been cruising Etsy with no luck... |

I dont use collars for my yorkies but I do use them for my cats because they are indoor/outdoor. I use breakaways so it seems about every 4 months or so Im replacing them because they have broke off and gotten lost. I really dont like collars but alot of cats run loose in our neighborhood and I just wanted to identify that mine belonged to someone. Jesse my Husband has a cat he wont let me put a collar on. |
