Paisley's ears were flopping a little although they had been standing up. I called a friend of mine who raised and showed yorkies. She told me it was due to teething, and to give paisley a little plain yogart. So I did. I gave her approx. 2 Tablespoons for 3 days and her ears perked right back up and have stayed up. It's the calcium that they need according to my friend. This is the same friend that I had to take her Yorkies into my care while she went through a divorce/ move. I raised a couple of litters of puppies for her. At the time I was raising Miniature Dachshunds ( I did that for over 16 years). Not showing them myself, but I had 3 close friends who showed and so my dogs were shown. This is how I met my friend that showed the Yorkies. Anyway... just wanted to mention the yogart. :) |

I got Paisley at 10 weeks old and both ears were standing straight up, then one morning we got up and one ear was a little floppy. The next morning it was standing back up and the other ear was floppy. It stayed floppy for a few days so I called my friend. I fed the yogart for three days... by that 3rd day both ears were standing again and still are. So I don't know if it was really the calcium in the yogart or just nature taking it's course , all I know is that I fed the yogart and her ears are up again. She told me she had heard of some people who fed cottage cheese, but she said she never did. She thought yogart was a better choice. |

That's not the sharpest color in the box of questions...ya know I mean? Rocket surgeon style.;) Medical tape: self adhesive elastic bandages actually the new self adhesive only tape otherwise you will be potentially harming your dog since tape is sticky and it pulls hair. Here's the "tape" Elastic Adhesive Bandage | Self Adhesive Elastic Bandage | ElasticBandageStore.com Ear taping instructions: Goldenray Taping Yorkie Ears Taping Yorkshire Terrier Ears to Stand Erect Edit note: yogurt cottage cheese are also great vitamin supplements and fun extras for them on occasion calcium helps teeth, bones and cartilage like ears are made of... |

The best if probably Greek Yogurt. Glad her ears are now standing but don't be surprised if they go down again. Sometimes they will go up and down several times. I just loved Manolos Moms suggestion about the construction paper! I'd never heard that before but I guess she has new tricks now that she is showing her Yorkies. |
I would just wait and do nothing she's only 10 weeks. I did nothing to Madison's and her were fully up by around 14 weeks!:) |

Not a dumb question at all, but the way. I know with my brother's Cairn's he would massage the base of his ears to try to strengthen the muscles. My brother was coordinate enough to tape them. Gotta love men!:p |
