Are your babies television addicts?!? Good evening! Just checking - do our furbabies really watch tv?! :D I began to wonder a few months ago, when Harry was kind of watching pool on television. Every time a ball went into a corner net, he would rush up to it (or round the back) to try to see where it had gone. I thought this was all some kind of a fluke. He occasionally has a little look and a jump-up when 'funny animal programmes' are on - but, the other evening......! :) There was a good old-fashioned wildlife programme on. Harry sat there for a full hour, on our bed (of course!) but he was doing the actions!! When meerkats came on - he was balancing around on his back legs (on the springy mattress - so funny!). He didn't like gorillas ( a bit of a growl + wiping feet!). When squirrel-like creatures appeared - he actually looked out of our bedroom window (they're nomally in the tree) then back to the screen - like he was trying to compare them (even though it was dark!!). Apparently, he really doesn't like beavers teeth - but on the whole, he was just mesmerised! So funny.....what do your furbabies like watching? Sally + Harry x |
That sounds to cute. Callie doesnt have a favorite show or anything (although my grandma swears she likes the food channel) but she will lay there and look like she really is watching the tv. There are some voices that make her ears pop up and really get interested. If the tv is not on she will go to the tv stand up and paw at it. |
To be honest Kaos isent very interested in the TV unless he hears a door bell, then he goes crazy. I do play vidoes of yorkies barking on my laptop sometimes and he does the classic head tilt and gets excited. :p |
Mine only watches tv while she is eating.:D That's really cute about Harry watching it so intently. Kacee used to watch it more when she was a puppy. |
Lily watches TV!! You cannot imagine how our Lily watches TV!! She has watched since the Dog Whisperer was on one night when we first brought her home!! She was only about 13 wks old and her ears perked up and she hasn't dropped her ears down since!!lol She barks at every animal and certain commercials we have to mute because she just goes crazy!! My husband always kept TV on in the bedroom all night...no more because Lily sleeps w/us and if something comes on even without the sound turned up she wakes the whole house up!! We have threatened to video her and enter it on funniest videos or something. She is funny to watch at first but after 4 yrs it is a little annoying after awhile!! I have tried EVERYTHING to get her to stop barking but nothing has worked so she lets us live with her and watch her TV's!!lol |
My daughter silky gets very into tv If there are animals on he is crazy And certain comericials drive him nuts. When they come to visit he watches the dvd player with my granddaughter he loves tv. If they do not turn it on he barks at it till they do. I think one of the funniest thing he does is takes his ball up to the tv and shakes it when he is upset with something on tv. we think he is crazy but love him dearly |
That sounds so cute. Just in the last month or two Princess finally "hears" barking, knocking, etc. Sometimes if we're watching a movie & she's up there she'll really seem to be watching for quite a while. I always ruin it by saying awe or telling my dd, but sometimes she'll just pick right up where she left off. |
Mine will look at it when they are dozing off but they don't really watch it unless dogs are barking...then they are GLUED to it and usually barking back :D |

I was wondering that - whether it was a 'puppy thing'? He's not 11 months old yet. Also, certain adverts - yes! There's a 'Bakers' ad on in the UK that has a Yorkie in it which is another firm favourite! Oh it's great to hear all your stories, thank you! Sally + Harry x |
arg i wish Ziggy watched tv.. he only has 2 speeds: running around like a crazy person, OR sleeping..lol |

Dexter and Peppermint My yorkies are a addicted to Dextersrufflife on YouTube. They hear the song and came running. I can't see the episodes around their 4 heads. |
Olly loves to watch any t.v but Tias not bothered. In fact Ive started to leave it on while I pop to the shops lol |
Oh, I must get onto YouTube! Wonder if it'll have the same effect here?! And I left the tv on for Harry the other day when I had to go out for an hour - trouble is, I don't know if he was watching it....!!! Sally + Harry x |
Awww, love the stories...too cute! Lexi too loves TV she will watch it all night if we let her...LOL She really loves the animal channels and will watch them and look back at us to make sure we are watching too! My hubby loves the sports and Lexi is not crazy about baseball...she will grawl at the TV when they are on bark and run around then come back and do it again...its funny to watch. When the commercial where the dog is trying to hide his bone (the song trouble) comes on no matter where she is she will go find her chicken treat and try to hide it too...:D She is a funny little girl.... |
