"off topic" is under rated.... I am guilty of not moving from "general discussion" for my first many, many months. I never looked at the others. It didn't matter if it was for picture posting, questions, or off-Yorkie-topics. However, you are missing out if you don't. Please don't move this or a lot of people won't read it :p . A lot of people are in a panic and put posts in the sick/injured...please view and help if you can. A lot of people post in the "My Yorkie" and don't get responses and think it is because they haven't been on here long enough. I never knew the "off topic" could be sooooo fun!! There is also more that you may want to go on down the line and see what is going on. Just a suggestion.....so many ways to learn and get to know eachother!!!! :D |
There is so much to read on this whole site.. I go to NEW POSTS so I try to get everything, but in reality I don't have as much time on my hands that I would like to and miss tons!! |
I know I really like off topic too! |
me tooooo. |
You're so right, Julz My favorites are General Discussion because there is always something interested, Off Topic for the fun and games and, of course, My Yorkie and Yorkie Brothers & Sisters for the adorable pictures. I lurk in the other forums just to see what the Breeder's are up to and what's for sale or wanted (okay, I love the baby pictures :p ). I also learn a lot in the Training, Health & Diet and Sick or Injured forums. On rare occasion I check into the regional to see if anything is happening, but it's usually slow moving. The one I've NEVER visited is the RIP forum. :( I'm afraid it will upset me too much. Maybe someday if I need a good cry... YT - something for everyone! :D |
This is a great thread Julz! I know I am guilty of not having the time to check out the other suplerfluous sections often enough and I miss out as a result. I try to go there as often as I can and I at least skim the sick/injured to see if I can at least lend some encouragement, but I tend to stay in the General and the My Yorkie mostly. I will take your advice and try OT more often. In fact I have been meaning for months now to post on my poodle and my westie in the Yorkie Brothers and Sisters thread. I finally got my Dogster pages done though after months and months of procrastination so I am pretty proud of that! |
All of the different forums are important. I don't normally post in the training section because I'm not good at training. I normally just look under NEW POSTS and go from there. That way I can hit every section. |
I like to jump around and try to look at everything... :p :p When I was new to the forum I didn't realize this so hopefully newbies will read this and benefit from your post !!!! Great Post    |
