yorkie barking I recently got my first yorkie at 7 months old. I'm concerned because he never ever barks!!! Is this normal????:(:( |
That is funny. So many complain because their puppies bark too much. I wouldn't worry. It may be he just has nothing to say. They usually only bark when they are playing and all excited or else when someone comes to the door. If he hasn't barked it may be he is just laid back. Does he seem content? |
Callie didnt bark when she was a puppy and now she still very rarely barks. If we hear her bark we run to find her and figure out what she is barking at and why. She doesn't bark when people are in the driveway or coming up the side walk but she wags her tail like crazy so we have joked about putting a bell on her tail lol. |
Kaos rarely barked as a puppy, and he only barks at the door now as an adult. I wouldn't worry. :) |
Congratulations on your new furbaby! WHen I first brought Julius home he never barked. Now that he is used to his surroundings and confortable with his new family I notice him barking now. Mainly when he wants attention or is playing. I wouldn't worry. |
Naww I think it's okay. Brandi only barks when the doorbell rings and when I get home from work. I'm kind of glad because when she does bark I take it more seriously like there is something really wrong. She does have long conversations with me when I get home from work but that's about it. Other then that, you won't hear a peep from her. |

Riley was the same way. He never barked.... I wondered if there was something wrong with him.... and even now, he very rarely barks. He's such a good boy!! :) |
I would say don't worry, you'll be back on here a few months from now and talk about howw much he barks. LOL Jack was not a big barker @ 7 months. Can't say that now at 2years. He has a big mouth. LOL |
Oh my goodness, I have been complaining because mine barks too much! LOL Mine is 17 weeks old. |
ZoE rarely barked as a young pup, then somewhere along the line she saw her reflection and discovered her bark...she saw it in a dressing mirror that was tilted towards the floor, then in the reflection of the glass on the electric fireplace...but her favourite is her reflection in the windows at night....she's sure another dog is invading her territory and barks incessantly at the intruder :D. |
