We had a major fire. Everything around me is on the ground except 1 more home 2 doors over. Our neighbor on the hill last daughter & grandbaby. Our home & 2 cars saved. AND PRAISE the LORD they got all my dogs out. I was out of town trying to get home. They & I are stressed but safe, We vhave so much to be thankful for. 8 or more homes around me are melted to the ground. Have missed being here. Just got phone servive today. Hope to chat more soon.

I am glad to hear your dogs and possessions were saved. My deepest condolences to your neighbors who were not so lucky. Sending prayers out for your neighbors.

Thank God for Blessings and you and your dogs are safe. What a terrible tragedy, sorry to hear of the loss of your neighbors. My prayers are with all the families that have been hurt.

I'm very happy that you, your home, and your pups are all safe. I was talking about the young woman and baby the other day on here. It was a terrible tragedy. How sad for your neighbor. Praying for rain!

So glad that you are ok. I have been keeping an eye on the news,we have friends that live in the Hill Country and Bastrop area.
We went riding on the motorcycle last night and even here in the DFW area we saw so many black yard and fields on the back roads.

OH MY GOSH. That is so awful! I am so sorry to hear about your neighbors. That is a horrific story. I am glad that you are safe, along with your dogs. Prayers are going out to all of those affected.

Thanks for all the kind words & prayers. This has been one of the most awful things I have been thru. I was out of town . We had gotten a call saying all was gone. I lost it. But when we got in town my son found out our home was still standing & he was able to get in & with help get my furbabies out. He lost all his tools, truck & trailer. But God was good & will bring us thru. We are 2 of the blessed ones. Others lost so much more.

I can smell the smoke in the air in the mornings from the northwest of you. It's horrible! And I still see people throwing cigarette butts out their windows!

Wow, that sounds terrifying. Very glad you and your pups are all okay. I can't imagine getting a call like that and not being able to do anything.

Thank God you didn't lose your home or babies. So sorry and sad for those who were less fortunate. This has got to be one of the worst summers we have ever had. Praise God for cooler weather. Pray for rain. Everything is so dry it takes nothing hardly to start a fire.

thank God you are okay and the dogs. praying for your neighbors as they go through such a terrible tragedy. these fires are such a huge disaster right now. praying for rain and for an end to these tragedies.

This is so sad...these awful fires. PTL that you and yours are okay, but my heart breaks for those that have lost loved ones or homes.

Thank you all for the thoughts, kind words & prayers. I have to go back to work Mon & I so don't want to leave my babies. There is nothing left around my house to burn but I am still freaked out . Marlee is stressed And so is Gabby my Chihuahua........If it were cooler I would make them beds in my car & take them with me this coming week but it is too hot. God took care of us thru this guess He will continue to protect us ........
