and HUG/KISS/ SNUGGLE.... Your furbaby!

My friend just lost her 3 year old Pit bull, she is so hurt. It is amazing how fast something can happen to our furbabies! Dealing with this with my friend has opened my eyes how much these little furbabies mean to us, how much we will miss them when they are gone, and how much we love them!

Take 1 min to show your baby you love them! When you leave your house kiss your furbaby!! I will always make sure when I leave Pnut to kiss him and tell him I love him, bc you never know what is going to happen!

My friend lost her poodle this week she was 22 yrs old...she had congestive heart failure

My heart goes out to your friend who lost her pit bull. I'm sure she is devastated. Each time I leave the house, I always give Betty Boop one last kiss and tell her that I love her and that I will be back soon. It always crosses my mind that something could happen while I'm gone.

Oh, my! Twenty-two years is a LONG time to have a furbaby. I can only imagine how sad she must be to lose her furbaby after all of those years. I'm so sorry.

Wow 22 years, she was lucky enough to have enjoyed her for that long. I'm sorry to hear that she lost her, it is always a sad thing to go thru!

Your poor friend, how is she taken it? Man i want to know her secrets of taking care of a dog to have them live for that long! I hope I will get that much time with Pnut!

She is heart broken the vet told her that she might make it another week but she was having such difficulty breathing that she let him put Lady down..I know it was hard for her to make that decision

I bet, I think that would be so hard! Not wanting to let go but not wanting them to be in pain. It is so hard to deal with. Your poor friend... I'll be praying for her and her furbaby!

I read some where that you should always say good bye to your pets before you leave the house. Animals understand so much more then what we give them credit for. The idea of what this article was saying is that if you walk out the door without saying anything the pet does not understand that you are leaving it. If you say good bye and reassure it the animal will be at peace while you are gone. I know sometimes Gracie might not see me leaving and wonder where I am after I am gone. Now I try to take a minute to tell her I have to go for a little while and tell her good bye. She seems to accept the fact that I'm leaving her better when I talk to her first.
I can't stand to think of losing her.

Ya that does kind of make sense huh! Omg is that Gracie's little face on ur avatar? She is as cute as a button! I never want to loose pnut, I will be a mess! It is an amazing bond we get with these lil doll babies!

I tell my dogs all the time I love them and give them kisses. They can be gone so fast.

This is an awesome post. When I lost Sophie I was devestated and still to this day when I look at her pictures I cry. My last words to her were No Sophie Stop but she didnt listen and then she was gone. I also had a black lad named buddy, He was 13 when I had to have him put down, I miss them both even though I have the 4 I have now they can not take the place of my babies before them. I love my babies every chance I get.

Its kind of funny this got brought up. Yesterday I left for work very early about 4 a.m. I took kaos out of his crate and put him with my dad in his room and left. My dad called me up about halfway through the day cause he thought Kaos was sick because he didn't eat, and he was just laying down all day and wouldn't play. Then when I got home he got all excited and ran and ate right away. Now today I left a little later and took a few minutes to say bye to him, and he's perfectly fine today. I'm starting to think it really does make a difference. :)

I always try and spend as much time as possible with Rocco in the mornings before I leave for work. when I am ready to go I always tell him "I love you so much" and give him hugs and kisses.

That's sad! We all are truly blessed for everyday we get to spend with our precious babies! Chloe has brought so much love into our lives.

I do this EVERY time I do anything (even go to the bathroom). I constantly talk to Bailey. The more I talk (teach him) there more he understands. People dumb animals down and I can't stand that! I also give Bailey a hug and kiss every time I leave him. :)

I know how you feel. I can sit and look at pictures of my past pets and break out crying because the memory is so real of those little babies that were once a part of my life.
As far as saying good bye before you leave. Sometimes when I am about to walk out the door I will turn around to speak to Gracie and she will be lying there with her head on her front paws looking at me, just waiting for me to say something. I would hate to think of hurting her little feelings by just walking out without a word.

I'm sorry for your friends loss. My families first dog, a golden retriever was killed when he was hit by a car in a freak accident when he was only 2. It was so sad, it took us 2 years before we even talked about getting another dog. I felt the worst because I wasnt there when it happened and I didnt get to say goodbye so now I always tell my babies goodbye when I leave and I tell them I love them all the time because you never know. I think I'm gonna go give them love right now! :aimeeyork:love:

i always kiss mine too D! and kiss your family as well. we lost two young ladies to a horrific car accident both Jrs in high school and so young. never know what can happen to pets or children or any living thing. show all your love to them all the time so they know and you know you left them with love and kissies and hugs.

I do the same thing with my girls!! When I leave to go to work we have our routine. Every one gets mommy hugs and kisses. I tell them bye and to be good! ;) My 14 yr old thinks I am a nut!! :D Can't wait to tell him you do it too!! :p

I'm so sorry for your friend! I will give my girls extra kisses tonight. Telling them I love them...I do that all the time! They are such a joy to me. Give your friend a hug for me.

Such a good post. We should tell all the ones we love how much we love them every day...our furbabirs, children and other family and friends!

I have noticed too..my guys don't eat when I am not home. When I come home they are so excited, hug kissed tail wags....then they run to the kibble bowl. But they cane sure go potty when I'm not here. Lol

You can also tell your son sometimes I am late to work bc I am giving pnut hugs and kisses and I cant seem to leave him!!

Ha ha! I so understand! I just hate leaving my girls at all. :( They get the most pityful look on their face. It is like they are saying "Don't leave us mommy!" I can't stand it. But I was the same way with him too. Never did like leaving him with a sitter. Then my mom quit her job to keep him. Made me a much happier mommy!
