Prayers for Austin, Texas Fire Victims I would like to ask if a few prayers could be said. The Rescue Group that I adopted my Willow and Allie from has a Foster Mommy (Pam) that had to evacuate yesterday evening with about 400 other people in her area- Steiner Ranch which is the West part of Austin. They have not been able to go back their house as all roads are closed with fires still going. They have no idea if their house is safe or not. She is at her Mom's house safe and all the dog's are safe as well. |
Man I'm sorry to hear this. Prayers are on the way! |

I'm sorry to hear that about Pam and others having to evacuate because of the fire. Pam and everyone else affected by these fires are in my prayers. There are hundreds that have lost their homes and the news reported lives were even lost. This heat-wave and drought for the past 3 months has been just horrible. Thank God we are finally getting relief this week The morning temps will dip to around 59 here and will heat up to around 85/90 degrees. I'm wondering if the temp will start rising again after this week. I pray not. |
Definitely sending up prayers! |

There have been people who had leave fast and weren't able to get their pet's and they won't let them back in. |
I hope all of our Texas members are safe and not in harm's way. I saw the reports this am on the news and wondered if everyone was ok. We will be praying our Texas neighbors are safe, and the firefighters are able to get these terrible fires under control. |
I saw an older lady sitting outside a shelter with a little chi on her lap. She looked so upset and I felt so very sorry for her.:( |
Sending Prayers to all effected by these horrible fires. |
They are all in my prayers. Saw the news coverage very scary. |
To all my fellow Texans, I pray that we all pull through this horrific time. Words fail me at this time, the current situation is almost beyond comprehension. The twitter tag of #centraltxfires has been amazing at providing news. I hope someone hears all of our prayers, because an awful lot of praying is going on right now. Everyone be safe and well. |
It is so disturbing what is happening in Texas. It's like everything is out of control. They had expected to get some rain from the tropical storm that went through last week but instead all they got were winds that caused the fires to spread more quickly. They need rain so badly. Pray for everyone to be safe and for RAIN. Early last week I heard that the shelters were allowing people to bring their animals if they are crated. I'm sure not everyone could crate all their animals so I don't know what people will do. They don't allow birds or exotic pets. I can't imagine having to transport several animals in a quick and orderly manner. It sounds like a nightmare. |
The news coverage of the fires is so frightening and disturbing, and I'm sending prayers to all in Texas and hope it is contained soon. There are so many YT members in Texas, I hope they will check in here and share news, and I especially hope they are all ok. |
I am so sorry!!! I am sending prayers |
Been saying our prayers. We were in the hurricane zone last week and had a mandatory evacuation. I wish we could send some of this rain out west. |
I have cousins in the Marquez, Texas area. I really have not heard much about their area, fire wise. Does anyone here on YT know this area, and how it is faring? |
