Has anyone purchased a pup from Lux Pup ? If anyone has purchased a yorkie or any dog from Lux pup please email me I am looking for information about them Thank you |
I looked at their site....they seem to be puppy brokers selling all over the place. Exploiting "teacups" and charging waaay too much! I would look for a reputable breeder in your area. |
I've looked into their website before buying it from a more reputable breeder. Those pups are cute...but I don't know...it's kind of too small. I heard those small pups can die much much easier than regular/toy/"teacup" size dogs. But if you are looking to buy a pup, you should make sure you can actually go to their home and see the pup yourself. That why, if anything goes wrong, you can easily contact the breeder |
Also, since you are from calgary, I would say its better to find a breeder in Calgary. My breeder once told me that she does not ship pups because its potentially dangerous for the pup, even if its a short journey due to stress or other concerns. And a pup that size, they may have starved the pup so they don't gain any weight...I just went onto their website, and saw a male yorkie at 1.8 pounds at 8 months is a tad bit ridiculous... Well, that's just my opinion! |
Check out Yorkhaven's website. She's in Standard, AB I've bought a couple of yorkies from Kathy. Very highly thought of breeder in yorkie circles. |
Thank you I have purchased 2 yorkies from this breeder.......the first boy grew and grew and grew to a whole 8lbs had the longest legs and longest body I have ever seen on a yorkie.....he also had a deformaty When I got him he was the most skinniest yorkie starving to death, I gave him some food and he acted like he never ate for a long long time, he wanted to eat the whole bag.... I had to be careful he continued to eat his food up like no tomorrow for at least 3 weeks, I slowly increased his food so it was free choice to him but this took some time I told Michelle how starving he was ...she said only feed him like 15 kernals a day !!! well right then I knew why he was starving she would not take the dog back so I had to rehome him payed $4000 for him and placed him in a pet only home for $600 I thought it might have been a honest mestake as this can happen...no one can guarentee a size even if they are 6lbs out :)....and maybe the next one will not be skinny and fed properly I recieved the next boy he was the cutest and smallest little thing I had ever seen there was no way I thought that he would grow to be as big as the last boy.....well he grew and grew and got very large as well with long legs, I learnt my lesson from this breeder after spending thousand and thousand of dollars ,,,,,now my problem is she will not send his papers to me she will not even answer my emails I have tryed for 8 months, the puppy now is over a year old......Iam not sure what to do as I dont even have her last name...all the shipping papers are in her boy friends name not hers....I think I have been scammed, her last name is no where to be found......This is why Iam trying to find someone else that has purchased yorkies from her to see if they have gone threw what I have with her and to find some more information about her |

I'm from the UK and even I have heard of the famous Lux Pup. Please don't buy from them, they are evil and exploit those dogs. |
If you have your heart set on a certain size/look for your next Yorkie, you might want to consider a young adult. You'll know what you're getting then;) Honestly, I can't believe that you spent so much on such poorly bred pups. You could have gotten a beautiful, responsibly bred puppy from a reputable breeder for much less. And who knows what you're getting when you can't go and see the puppies and their parents in person. They could be selling the puppies earlier than the recommended 12 weeks, so that they appear to be smaller than they actually are. Heck, sometimes the smallest pup out of a litter will turn out the be the largest as an adult, and vice-versa. Take your time this time, and really research the breeder BEFORE you even look at their puppies. You're more likely to get a healthy dog and a good health guarantee from a breeder that's not in it to line their pockets. Read lots here to help you figure out what to look for in a breeder. YTCA.org is a good place to start, also. Good luck! |
