New baby 2 Attachment(s) I hope I am not jinxing myself, but this is Romeo he is 11 months old and weighs 3 pounds. He may be coming to live with us. I sure hope and pray he does. I love my girls to death but since my boys have passed away my arms ache for a little boy. I think I will call him Romey tho as my little boy who was the same size and looked similar was named romeo and I do not know if it is fair or right to call him by the same name? I pray he gets to come live with us. I have been on pins and needles the past 3 months as his momma talks to me about letting him go and come to me, then changes her mind, we have done this a couple of times now and each time she changes her mind it breaks my heart. I had decided if she changes her mind again this time I was just going to pull the offer to take him, but I just cannot do it. I will keep hoping and praying and each time she says she is letting him go I will continue to raise my hopes, because I just cannot help it. The reason she is considering letting him go is because she is overwhelmed right now, and she is having real problems potty training the 3 of them and they are destroying her house. Plus she was feeling like she was not giving them the time and attention they deserved. She is having troubles letting him go because, understandably she loves them all to death. Here he is, Little Romey Please ay a prayer that she will |
awww I hope she just does what is best for him and you name him whatever, you feel like. I renamed my rescue savannah even though she called her stella. If she keeps doing that maybe keeping an eye out for one someone else might be wanting to rehome might be something you could look into. You can always tell her when and if she makes up her mind to get in contact with you. There are so many out there that need a yorkie mom's love sadly. My little girl came into my life about 2 weeks after I lost my binky who was an only child and 11.5 years old. at the time I had serious doubts about my mental health and being able to open my heart to all this little girls special needs. It turned out to be a healing experience for the both of us and I love her with all my heart and soul as much as I did my binky. Being a tad ornery I do email update photos of my little angel all happy to that backyard breeder evey few months..lol she never responds and I wish my email had a whack with newspaper option upon opening option. just last week while packing my baby had a regression moment when I was putting a rolled up newspaper in a stack for packing materials since it arrives on my driveway in a bag. |
Oh my, he is a gorgeous little Romeo for sure! I believe it is a fine honor to call him Romeo, he can be Romeo II. ;) I will say a pray and keep my fingers crossed she will let him come to you. I'm not sure what would need to be written, but make sure down the road...there is no changing her mine again and she would expect the little guy back. That heartache would just be to much. I'm so excited for you! :hands::goodluck: |
He is a little Romey! Crossing our fingers for you! |
I hope you can get him and give him and forever home. Hopefully she won't let you take him and decide she wants him back. I think I would get something in writing. He is so cute. Keep us posted. I have 2 girls and 2 boys and boys are special but I love all of them. |

Next time she says she will give him up, get in the car and go get him! Don't give her time to change her mind. I hope everything works out for the best. |
I hope you get to give him a forever home. There is nothing wrong with naming him for some one you love that has died. We name children after relatives all the time, living and dead. I help with fosters and rescues too. I have had people sit on the fence many times. They will call and say I need to do this, then put it off over and over. I know how heart wrenching that would be, if I wanted the little one for my own. My Vets office called and ask if I could help feed some puppies, because their mother died. I said sure. The lady called me, we chatted, and I took two puppies to feed for 5 weeks. She had 11 Newfoundland puppies. Now that was an experience! I still cried when they left. Yes, you get attached but can give them up to a forever home because you know it is the right thing to do. Hope she sends Romeo to you. Hugs |
Hoping that you got him! Have you heard an answer yet? Best Wishes - He is darling! |
No news yet. Hopefully I will hear something soon. Thanks everyone, I think he is pretty handsome myself..... |
I was just told "things change constantly in rescue, and the founders do what they think is best, so if his current momma wants to try to keep him they will leave him where he is" He was surrendered a month ago and where he is now was not supposed to be permanent as we were trying to arrange transport here. His current momma says she is overwhelmed by having so many not potty trained and she feels sometimes she is not giving them what they need, but she does not want to let any of them go unless she knows she has given it 100% try before transfering any of them to another foster home....so I do not know if he will be coming here or not.....I cannot write here how this makes me feel....But not pleased is putting it mildly |
I hope this works out for you.:xfingers: Romeo is a little doll!:) |
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. What a baby doll. |
