New Mommy!! Hello Everyone:) I just took him emy little 2 pound bundle of joy "Buster" on Saturday. He is 8 weeks old and I am just in love already! I am having some trouble crate training him. Im not even sure if that is what I should be doing. He is home by himself most of the day with the exception of my fiance and I comming home every 2 or 3 hrs from work on our breaks and lunches. All he does is cry and I feel like such a bad mommy. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. I want to have a happy puppy! |
Welcome Buster and Mommy2b to YorkieTalk! :) Make sure when you are with him to spend a lot of time with him. As for crate training, you might want to leave in a shirt with your or your fiance's scent on it for that "homey" feel. Also, leave water for him (and maybe some kibble). When you come home during a break, just take him out to see if he needs to pee or poop. |
Welcome to YT!!!! Good luck with your new bundle of joy! Puppies can be very daunting (sp?) animals but they are worth everything in the world. Also everything that seems tuff now will get much better as the get older (in my experience!) I think crate training is great. As Fasteddie said, leave some water, something w/ your scent and some toys. Good luck and Welcome to yorkie heaven!!! Hannah |
