Petroleum Jelly for laxative? I feed my ferret and Harley a regular amount of ferret lax to keep their bowels in check but I'm getting sick and tired of paying $10 for 4 ounces of petroleum and molasses.. So I'm wondering if anyone else just uses plain petroleum jelly for the same purpose? Bc goodness knows that I can get a HUGE bottle of vasaline at walmart for like $2 and add some molasses and save a ton of money.. Here's the ingredients list on the ferret lax.. petrolatum, malt extract, molasses, cod liver oil, soybean oil, tocopgeryl acetate. guaranteed analysis crude protein : (min) 4.0% crude fat: (min) 4.5% crude fiber: (max) 0.1% |
Oh YUCK! Vaseline tastes yucky! We've never had an issue with constipation so can't help, there. |
Harley LOVES this ferret lax though.. so weird and yucky to me.. My vet says you can also use cat lax also. |
