Pebbles is just stinky...what to do? Sunday is usually bath day at our house. All three are bathed and groomer and look and smell great. I also brush and comb daily but within days Pebbles hair will start to feel dirty. The other two always look clean and their hair looks shiny. Pebbles on the other hand will start to look stringy and feel dirty when you touch her. I've tried all kinds of shampoos and conditioners and it's always the same thing.....dirty look and smell within a few days. It's like she is Pigpens sister! When she gets her weekly bath the water is BLACK!!! She is professionally groomed about every 6 to 8 weeks too. I need opinions and any help that you can offer my dirty little girl :(:( She looks like an orphan. |
Hi, does she roll around outside more than the other 2? I like your description of her "like Pigpens sister". lol |
Poor Pebbles. Is this a recent development and is she consistently this way? The weather is often a factor with my boys and how long they stay clean. Sometimes we can push baths almost 2 weeks, other times they need one after only 4 days. They seem to get gritty when it is windy or ridiculously humid. |
No she has always been a dirty dog :p As a matter of fact she is going to get another bath today. She runs when I take out the shampoo and towels. So now I need to spell it out. B A T H T I M E :animal37 Pebbles come back! :dogsm6: |
Really, she runs? My boys beg me for baths. They drag towels to my feet with the shampoo and conditioner, bushes and combs tucked under their little arms. |

I have a poodle that is like this. He get a bath and smells wonderful, the next day he smells like a little boy that hasnt had a bath in a week. Sometimes I spray him with a grooming spray,if time allows I just bathe him again,in the summertime it is worse and he goes swimming in the pool. Sometimes I just wipe him down with a damp washcloth. I also keep his hair short so maintaining his BO is alot easier. We just all say that Skittles is ALL boy. |
